I’ve lost a lot of weight and been keeping my hair super short, getting back into 7 3/4 territory lately. Wasn’t trying to disrespect Art, by the way, I’ve had three or four of his hats, still have two that I’ll have till I die. I’m a big fan. It was just a weird situation.
I second the “Art had a lot going on” opinion. I know, because I had a hat on order with him to be finished before he handed the business over, and it just fizzled out. I even got a photo of the nearly finished item, then all communication stopped. Weird, but I get how things can snowball and...
I have been known to throw a rope, and ride a squirrelly horse now and again, but these days the only stock I’m wrangling are in kindergarten and second grade.
Thank you. That’s my grandfather, who was the real deal. He was still riding horses regularly the year he died at age 99. His father is my avatar photo. Frank
Bump this, I definitely need to sell this beauty. Lost over 60 lbs, won’t ever fill this one out right again. Somebody will get a well-cared for, but broken in jacket for about 1/2 the price of a new one. I can’t be the only big guy on the FL who like Aero jackets.
These are awesome. I have part of my great grandfather’s buffalo skinning kit (my avatar photo is him from that era), including a few knives he supposedly made from old files and tools. They are very similar to what you posted, but with antler handles. I envy your ability to create something...
I put my new Arizona in a cattleman’s crease for now. Plenty of crown to do whatever I want if I change my mind. Rick was a pleasure to deal with. Frank.
Pit to pit 26.5”
Sleeve, from shoulder seam to end, following curve 29”
Shoulders from tip seam at back 22”
Back from bottom of collar to end 32”
No damage or issues I can see, no funky smells.
Found some photos in an old Aero thread from 2013. Jacket was new, much more character now, but still some stiffness left, never water treated or anything like that. Low miles.
I’ve got a tough choice on my hands. I have a Teamster in FQHH that’s become too big for me. It was always too big in the shoulders, and I’ve lost a pile of weight, so I should probably pass it on. It’s labeled size 52, and when I ordered it, I was probably carrying about 300 lbs, at 6’5”...
