I messed up my hair a couple months ago, I had tried to trim my bangs myself, to get them fixed I had to end up with these sort of wispy modern looking bangs. Now they are finally fixed (thanks to the amazing Laurie at the Hair Academy) and I feel like myself again, after two whole months of...
also, keep in mind, a hat outside on a sunny day is a little extra insurance against sunburn and skin cancer. Having watched someone battle skin cancer before, I would strongly recommend *anything* that helps prevent it.
Well, in terms of cowardice, I think an important question would be: Do you fight to defend others that are weaker? And would you still try to defend them if you knew you would get hurt?
maybe it's the nerd in me, but I see nothing wrong with the word "female". It is simply a word used to describe someone's gender. I guess "woman" and "lady" can by more subjective terms and may imply something (i.e. that she is ladylike). I think people are waaaaay over-reacting. If you want to...
Neil Young is rare, in that he can TOTALLY pull off a cowboy hat, but he wasn't born in the southern US.
An even better musician (which is saying a lot--Neil Young is one of the best) who looks even better in fedoras is Tom Waits.
Waits also wears fedoras with much more frequency =]
I don't know if anyone else watches Fringe, but it's a great show. There is one character called "the Observer" who is bald with no eyebrows (but sometimes wears a fedora) and is just generally creepy.
Without a Fedora:
With a hat:
amazing how less-creepy he looks. This is just...
Tim Gunn has a pretty good list, and it's not from the 80s, which is always a plus
they go as follows:
* Basic Black Dress
* Trench Coat
* Classic Dress Pants
* Skirt
* Blazer
* Classic White Shirt
* Day Dress
* Cashmere Sweater
* Jeans
*...
if you're wearing them and start to notice a little tear (or "ladder") you can use clear nail polish to stop it. So if it's in a place where it's not visible, it might be ok to wear again
A black blazer can really dress up a nice pair of dark-denim jeans, on males or females. But i'm not a huge fan of black with tan, it's too close to black and brown, something my eye just doesn't like [huh]
I think a better investment would be a black suit. You can always wear the blazer by...
I think a woman's natural body has to be taken into account when judging cleavage. I know a girl who is about my size, but has breasts abotu 5x bigger than mine. Her trying hard to NOT show cleavage ends up looking like me trying to show a TON.
I think that if a woman's body naturally shows...
My mom just commissioned me to make some square pillows for the couches in our house. I LOVE the fabric she picked out, it's kinda retro, which isn't usually her taste
anyways...I was wondering if anybody knew of any really good tutorials (blogs, videos, ect) online. I'm looking some up right...
I've heard the tip about interfacing, but i'm not sure what heat level would be appropriate?
also, where do you get pattern weights? or what can you use? I've tried using regular 1-2lb barbell type weights but they aren't so nice to the pattern.
I have never seen a woman wearing a bolo tie, maybe a necklace that sort-of resembles a bolo tie, but whenever an American travels they lose their sense of style
