I think this is sort of on the lines of what Red said, but what comes to mind for me is Pavlov (no, i don't think you're a drooling dog, in fact you seem like a lovely young woman), but what I mean is that you could be associating dressing vintage with him, and if those are negative feelings...
ok, I feel I must say this, even if it gets me kicked off the forum.
I've read a few pages of this thread and noticed a few posts about how the 70s were bad because men started looking more "effeminate".
I find that VERY offensive. gay or straight, I don't care what gender you dress like...
i'm going to be the bad guy i guess, but in my honest opinion, bettie bangs don't work on about 90% of older women. I'm 19 and i'm even thinking I need to grow them out and move on to a more mature look.
The thing about bettie bangs, the thing that makes them great, is that they're so...
i had to make the darts about an inch longer, because originally the waist was totally undefined. but YAY (and the collar reminds me of a 1970s mens shirt, which i love!)
depends on how short they are. You should "block" your sweater.
basically you get it wet, and then stretch it out to the length you want, then secure it (safety pins are good) and let it dry.
If you're still confused go to a local yarn shop (not a big chain like jo-ann fabrics or walmart)...
a hat would probably fly off!
If your jeans are long enough, i'd say go with boots, long jeans will cover most of the shoe. I love chucks, but they don't help you stay dry!
it's usually like 5 bucks + tip for me
I go to a "hair academy" school type deal
So far, no complaints whatsoever, and if they mess it up, then I can spend the big bucks.
It's a good day if you:
a) are in love
b) the person loves you back
c) you have enough money to buy that person something
Otherwise, Valentine's day sucks. Personally, I've always despised the holiday. Teddy Bears are useless...why can't guys give good gifts for valentines day? Something...
there is actually a book made by the show "what not to wear (US version)" which discusses how to dress male body types. It might help you with the details
it's definitely wearable. That's the one thing you have to be wary of with DIY anything, so many times the finished product begs the question
"did you make that yourself"
This doesn't do that. That's a good thing. :)
I agree, she isn't odd shaped, just a bit tall, which most women consider ideal anyways [huh]
I seriously think her fashion sense is very underrated though. It may not be *my* style, but that doesn't mean it's not good or that I can't appreciate it.
My theory: If I voted for him, I get to complain that he's not wearing a fedora
I think that Michelle Obama really has a Jackie-O vibe with her clothing throughout the campaign which is awesome, but more casual and modern.
But damn, a fedora would be AWESOME
