Desi...I've never heard that coconut oil can burn your hair...I'm not even sure how that would be possible. Unless you light a match after you applied it of course ;)
Everything is good in moderation though, but if you use coconut oil as a pre-wash conditioner, it shouldn't do any harm.
If...
That would have been almost cruel.
Even though I've seen documentaries where it's been stated that Judy Garland wasn't pretty enough for Hollywood, I think her natural look was a lot better than any wigs or pancake makeup.
Back then I believe a lot of stars of her age was compared to Shirley...
goldwyn girl & Antje - thank you :D
cherry lips - the golden era mag look is what we're striving for at the studio, so I take that as a compliment :)

hehe...no, that's not what I meant at all :)
A lot of pattern, and especially with flowers, tend to come and go with trends,
and I think that the 70's bookmarks was a copy from the 1930's.
I'm sure this is a lot older than the 1970's though.
Sorry for the confusion.

I've just had a cuteness overload in this thread....hehehehe
All your babies in here are so adorable :D
I'm a cat lover myself and I've had a lot of cats throughout the years.
Like Mr Pots below. When he was a kitten and he vanished for a while you
would most likely find him in that flower...
Looks a bit like somewhere between 1930 and 1940 to me, but I could also be completely wrong. They did use clear Bakelite for jewelry back then, so that's not impossible.
The pattern on the back of the mirror and the hair brush was coming back as bookmarks in the 1970's when I grew up...that...
Ah....my baby sister is living down there too. Good luck with the language..it can be a real challenge ;)
Ok....I think we're a bit off topic here...heh...better behave lol
C - who was sidetracking
That works too :D
And I was born and raised in Sweden, but I've lived all over the place ;) So I've got a lot more than one language in my backpack. I probably understand Danish the same way you understand Swedish.
Went back to Sweden a few years ago from the US and then decided to settle...
Norty_Lady....thank you....and yes there's a similar look to the second picture and the one you posted :) The hairstyle is similar :) Those curls btw was a pain...hehe Took a lot of hairspray to get them to stay in place :D
Darhling - thanks :D (Eller tack...jag antar att du ar svensk?)...
All of you gals in here really got some great hairstyles :D Not sure where mine would fit in...
In 2006 I looked like this:
Lots of curls all over and it was pure laziness really ;)
The other day we had a gathering at the studio and I decided to do something
special for the evening...
@ thebadjamamama - these days I must admit that I love my hair color and the different contrasts it creates. Wasn't always like that though.
And warm tones works in most cases, that's true too :)
Norty_Lady - when it comes to make-up and photography there's a lot of things involved that...
Natural redheads and makeup problems
I'd like to know how many of you that are natural redheads?
I'm asking because if you are a natural redhead or close to, I'm sure you ladies know what a hassle it can be with skin tones.
I was born with red hair myself and pretty much every color I wear...

Hello Ladies :D

Well, I am what it says in my profile. My name is Christa and I'm in good ol England. Originally Swedish, but traveled too much to have any real roots. My home is where my...
