Haven't logged in a while, been having computer issues! Art, I should have known that is why the hats were so amazing! I loved the Shadow and The Phantom. But I guess I am a fan of the comic book movie genre as a whole.
Hello all,
I just watched Batman Returns for the first time in about ten years..Never realized how many nice fedoras there actually were. Several scenes in the early part of the movie have a really great 1940s feel with some amazing hats. Pretty cool.
I always used Lincoln Stain Wax while in the army. I never was a fan of the parade gloss. Soften the Lincoln up really nice with a hair dryer, rub into the boots with a cotton ball, and sprinkle warm water as you buff in circles. I had pretty good results!
Being in the military, and having spent several years in the private security sector, Danner is my go to brand. I have always loved everything I got from those guys.
I wouldn't sweat it. I have the same hat, it never seems to have any issues when it gets wet, and I have gotten it soaked. I haven't notice any change in its color. I hear Stetsons can taper a bit after time, however I like my Chatham more and more as I wear it.
I like how he is concerned about looking like a douche. I have seemed to notice that the people most concerned about how they are perceived are the douchebags themselves. You should find a hat you like, and wear it like you own it. Or if need be, as a nice looking gal if she likes it on you...
Has anyone seen a barber in any of the old classics wearing a button over barber's jacket? They kind of looked like the old fashioned dentists jacket that buttons over the front (almost bib front like the Rocketeer jacket). I plan on wearing one in my shop, and I am having a heck of a time...
I do love the car! I bought it almost 4 years ago and it has pretty much been my daily driver since then. Of course I had to replace several decades worth of neglect, and I keep having to. At some point, I want to slightly lower it, put some flowmasters or glasspacks on it, and fix it up. When I...
Aren't they just awesome dogs?? He snores like crazy, and when he is under the covers with the wife, he licks her feet non stop.. He is such a goofball! Any pics of your frenchies?
Very nice Falcon and Spyder. I have been driving my 67 Chrylser Newport for a little over 3 years now. Still not the prettiest, but I do get a lot of thumbs up from the old timers!
I have been using a Merkur safety razor with Merkur blades. I haven't had a better shave at home with anything else! C.O. Bigelow Barbers makes an amazing eucalyptus shave cream. I have also used a cream called EveryManJack which was nice as well. It has almost a neutral scent. As far as...
I will check them out! Thanks, I recently received several vintage pipes from my friend, I can't bear the thought of this awesome pipe being destroyed! Also as an afterthought do you have any idea how to date when a certain pipe was made? I am curious to see how old these pipes are.
That sounds about right. There is often a lot of confusion as to the difference between a taper and a fade. Yes a taper usually does start lower, and a fade generally is a blend beginning around the corner point of your hairline near your temple up to longer lengths at the top. There is also...
