Aside from ANYTHING found on the "when-is-it-going-to-be-completed, already?" Luftwaffe 1946 website, I think maybe a B-29.

The top one is the Macchi M.C.72 and the lower one is the M.C.39. Both were racing seaplanes built specifically to compete for the Schneider Trophy.St.Ignatz said:Where are these?

The M.C.72 and M.C.39 are both on display at the Italian Air Force Museum at Lake Bracciano, near Rome.
