Thanks, Diva and Mary!
Thanks, Lauren! I haven't made any since I moved... I've just been so busy with my other business. :o It pays much better than my millinery work did and very little overhead. Well, except when I'm feeling the urge to upgrade software like now... :D
Yeah, I searched the internet high and low for reviews of salons... nothing. I don't have anyone to ask because we're fairly new here, and I work from home and don't know anyone.
I said 40's too... specifically 1938-1945. Not that I don't love earlier 30's and early 50's at times too. :) As MissAmelina said, it depends on my mood. Right now, it's mostly 50's as I think the maternity fashions are more flattering than 40's for the most part.
Thanks, Miss Neecerie. No springy thing... the original shredded cover is actually nailed to the board on the underside! I think I might have some of those sheet elastic things somewhere. I'll have to try that.
Trying to decide if it's worth it to drive 2 1/2 hours to have my hair done! Hollywood Ultra appears to have moved to New Hampshire. I don't suppose anyone has recommendations for someone in Rhode Island or maybe north eastern CT? I'm guessing not...
My hair was getting horrible, so I...
I have a cabinet ironing board too in the kitchen. House was built in the late 40's. The cover is shredded though, and it's not quite full size. I really need to look and see if I can find a new cover for it.
Reviving an old thread because I can't sleep.
I'm 5'7" ... the short one of the family along with my aunt who is the same height. I always expected to be tall growing up because I was always taller than everyone in school, and my mom is 6', but I just grew very fast and then stopped! I...
That's actually pretty silly. Just because it's natural doesn't mean one can't be allergic to it. If that were the case, no one would be allergic to cat dander or pollen. :p
I love Lush's Ocean Salt face scrub though, and their deodorant is the only one DH can wear without breaking out.
Thanks, Lorena and Lizzie.
Nice finds, Miss Bella!! I'm very jealous of your thrift store dress! Your Anthropologie cardigan looks very vintage on you -- much more so than it did online.
Thanks again!
A few were from ebay. I think only two were ones I got in shops all the years I lived in San Francisco -- vintage hat prices there were just usually outside my budget. The rest I've gotten in only a year and a half since moving to the east coast. They are just so...
ok...I'm horrible...I just ordered some too! I should just start calling myself a hair curling implement collector at this point. lol I figure if nothing else they will be really nice and compact for when I travel.
