Hi EriCal,
I did a lot of research on Swiss Army Weapons and there is no mentioning of a "Lange Pistole 08" every being adopted officially. Do you have some more data/pictures? Working with the curator of an arsenal collection we would be highliy interested.
Thank you.

They do not come cheap, but the quality is outstanding.
I stumbled across the shop in Stockholm and after some help from Alexander Stutterheim himself I instantly bought one.
Sorry no new pictures yet.
The label was requested, as were the angled breast pockets.
I presume the collar is the new style as it was done just last week.
Finally and after a nine month wait it arrived
and it is a thing of beauty!
Sorry about the crappy pictures I just want to post and then go out for a ride.
more pictures and the full history to follow.
Hello cloudylemonade
How about a FAQ page concerning this issue?
i.e. known production date of misslabeled items, types, colours etc.
As i understand, you stand hip deep in a email swamp. Perhaps you can reduce the number of emails.
kind regards Ando
Could you please post the adress of the shop? The showroom looks spectacular too and I will stay in Tokio several days coming month...
ButteMT61 your right, the madness got me too. Perhaps Amanda can recommend a maker of fine straitghtjackets...
The jacket looks really great
Don't worry about a little looser fit, to me this looks absolutely normal.
Some years ago I met some polish veterans of the RAF and they showed me a lot of wartime photographs. They mostly were whippet lean and all their gear looked to roomy.
I've got a Woolrich Woolen Mills hunting parka made from cotton drill and it is really tough. It's not a light jacket but even after 3 years of constant wearing there are no visible signs of use.
Also my Highwayman has cotton drill lining and it hold well till now. The main reason I choosed...
Go for the tapering. The Highwayman has a rather boxy design. I haven't got your shoulders but I have to pull the adjusting straps fully in.
For me the Highwayman works without the additional leather in the cuffs and the strip on the lining. If you ever wear the leather ot the lining out you...
The Shop where I first saw Aero Leather jackets sold out Belstaff after they changed their customer group from rugged users to stylish wearers.
If you go down to the Aero Factory let Will show you the Highwayman made from Kudu leather (not the goatskin like glossy one).
It hangs on the rack in...
Hello,
just returning from Scotland and a factory visit in Galashiels.
And now I'm in for a long waiting time....
Will took my measurements and showed me a lot of awesome stuff.
Especially a Highwayman in matt finish Kudu sparked my interest. If it had been my size I would have bought it...
Have you thought about Nobel House?
The Shop here in Zürich where I first saw my dream Aero had a special limited edition made by them and it is really good quality.
New Apprentice made Aero Steerhide Highwayman Jacket - Standard Size 42
I bought this as a bargain from the Aero sale page togehther with my Horsehide Highwayman but never wore it.
Price would be £ 250 plus shipping
Below is the link to some pictures...
If you go for a stiff hide, I strongly recommend horizontal inside pockets. I once tried to get a key out of a vertical pocket and had to take off the jacket to pertform the task.
I was the laughingstock of the day, as all my colleagues had allready started their engines and had time to watch...
