Nice pair of jeans purchased last year, but just too small on the waist for me and now too late for me to return them to the store.
They are size 36 waist, but measure more like a 34 x 34.
They're the classic Sugar Cane miner's jeans (based on the Levis 1800s models) they are made of 50%...
Gents!
Long time no post - great topic on my favourite topic - vintage jeans!
Wow - there's been some great pics in this thread.
I'm looking to get hold of a Type 3 jacket LVC, XXL - did these ever exist in this size?
My "problem" (well, not a problem) is my height - 6 -5, so have...
Simple.
British (and presumably American) customers just dont wanna pay for real quality anymore. If you expect cheap prices, hey you'll get cheap prices, but you'll also get cheap quality too.
People prefer to buy a polyester mix suit for £80 that might last them a season, instead of...
What Sugar Canes is it you're after?
I have a 34W pair based on the early Levis I'm gonna sell, but then if you're not familiar with the European and UK retail prices its probably not worth me even putting an ad here in Classifieds, cos there just won't be the interest due to price.
1890 not the widest legs.
i have a pair Im gonna put in classifieds actually
i have those and also a few of the other models.
1955 is the widest leg, imo.
1947 slimmest. (think skinny almost)
1955 is my favourite cos they're the most comfortable lol
the 1933 is meant to be quite...
Does anyone know where I could get something like this, but with a "shorter" height? Maybe just above the ankle.
Been after something like this for a while, ideally something with a "low" heel too. Can't really describe what I'm after very well.. sort of like a 'roper' boot, but a bit shorter...
hi.
gift, but unfortunately a little too big for me. Only ever tried on, so its as new...

Can you explain to an English bloke the difference between a 'Buckaroo' and a 'Cowboy'.......? lol
A cowboy is someone who works with cattle for a living?
...Buckaroo = horses?
I ask out of curiosity, 'cos I collect repro jeans, so it'd be interesting to find out why the different groups...
Hi Pablo,
could you tell me your thoughts on the sugar canes in comparison to Wrangler/Levis repros you have?
Im thinking of getting some Sugar Canes once Ive managed to sell all those spare Blue Bells I have.
hey..
I would imagine it's all bespoke / or repro gear.
Id also make a large wager that Peter Wested might have been involved... (the guy who did the Indiana Jones gear amongst other films)

Hi, just to add to what is already written, I have a mont blanc and I can highly recommend one!
I got mine as a gift, so fortunately I didnt have to fork out myself for it, but I suppose you could see it as an investment, as you will genuinely have it for life (heaven forbid you dont lose it!!!)
Hi
Could anyone recommend me some chinos made from a similar style fabric to the Dockers K1?
(the ones made from 'Kramerton' army cloth.... if that means anything to anyone!!)
I have a pair, but I kinda think I need some which are a bit longer, so maybe a chino with an unfinished hem...
Hi Gents.
As I mentioned in the 'jeans' thread a couple of days ago, my brother and I are clearing out some of our collection of new unworn Wrangler Reproduction Blue Bell jeans (only so we can buy more that actually fit us now!!)
all of them are Wrangler reproductions models from the 40s /...
Damn...
Its kind of like us in the UK, loads of well known American brands are quite difficult to get here. Unfortunately, I think as one of the guys said earlier, once you translate the prices into the American dollar, they become quite pricey (I would imagine).
Oh, by the way I have seen...
