They have a great "marketing/advertising" consultant. It works on the old adage that "sex sells"... And what better way than use popular, sexy celebrities in the nude?
As I don't think I will ever not eat meat or buy a fur coat, the whole message of the ad is lost on me. All I see is a...
I've actually wondered the same thing.
Actually, all this time (before seeing the video) I thought that rabbits were shaved. Although I know they are killed, I just assumed they were just shaved and the meat processed for eating (or something like that). But I was just thinking in hat terms...
PETA is also against carriage rides... What's next? What will they be against of that has to do with animals?
I still cringe when I watch the video; it's disgusting and inhumane, but now I've researched about PETA, all I see is a bunch of ridiculous fanatic fools.
Man would not have evolved...
They are against anything that involves animals, jeesh! Reading their site made me less guilty and made me think they're over-zealous fools. They have no idea how much animals are needed to keep the world running. When I posted the video, I was feeling for the animals and a bit guilty. Now...
I browsed through their site and they have issues even with wool. As far as I know, sheep are not killed for their fur, just shaved naked.
They have issues with every material taken from animals; fur, leather, wool, feathers, etc. I'd say it's overkill.
Still, what the video shows is really...
Someone just shared this on Facebook and when I watched it, I just felt guilty about wearing fur felt hats.

I was now wondering if other fur farms where most felt makers get their fur are like this one in China.
Is there even a more humane...
Here's another pic of the boots...
Darkened the toe area using some Lexol and tried to polish it a bit. I chose a leather that wasn't smooth, nubuck, I think.
Kinda hard to get the actual color using a cellphone... Also, there's a lot of graininess in the pic because of the crappy...
No, just one pair. Just different angles and lighting even if they were taken in the same place.
These were taken a few hours after I got 'em.
I've darkened the tips of the boots a bit when I put some Lexol on 'em.
Finally got my made-to-order harness boots!
Here are some pics:
These are custom-made and cost around $182 when converted from my currency... Compared to how much custom boots cost over there in the US, these are practically dirt cheap! But you wouldn't believe that they're considered...
These aren't mine, but these are their work...
They emailed me these pictures just tonight as I asked for them to send me pics of different harness boots they've made.
They used to make these as one of their "stock" merchandise, but now these types of boots are all made-to-order...
I just ordered a custom-made harness boot from a local cobbler here in the Philippines.
They've been in business for a very long time and I trust the quality of their work. You'd be surprised how "cheap" a custom shoe here can be. And they have a lifetime warranty.
I've had 2 cowboy...
I used styrofoam. I bought a big styro block which was 1inch thick. Cut and stacked together then glued together.
I didn't measure the crown height, but just by eyeing it, I would say it's about half an inch shorter than my Fed IV (after reblocking).
