Saw it on ebay, got a message from the owner. He is a TFL member, so we made a deal. Jacket arrived today then I found out the original pattern jacket came from another TFL member. Small jacket world.
I don't know about Beck jackets. I'm not sure what model this one is based on. I did get...
Here are two JC Penney Sportclad Horsehide jackets from the same time, mid-late 40s. The clean one has the original 40s Talon Zipper, the Worn has a replacment Talon.
The Unworn is what you would have found hanging in a JC Penney store c.1947.
Both have a 40s Sportclad label.
The Fronts...
I call this jacket "Elephant ears", now I know it is model 720. I found it in my 1973 Brooks catalog
This is the only one I have seen.
The Brooks is in excellent condition with little signs of use. All zippers and snaps work as they should.
It is marked as a 46. I typically wear a 44...
The Fieldmaster label ran concurrent with the Hercules label. Perhaps a bit more of a gentleman's label. This jacket is probably late 50s.
This is a quality suede jacket in excellent condition. Crown zipper. Marked size 48, too big for me.
See more pictures in this album.
Price: $80 shipped.
Marked size is 36. Measurements are below. If you can't wear it buy it for someone who can! My grand daughters are quite a few years away from this size.
This is stiff denim.

Price: $75 shipped.
This Beautiful Taubers is probably from the early 60s made in the Bay area California. Taubers was in business from 1941 to early 80s? Taubers and Cal leather may have been the last makers to use horsehide in the late 50s early 60s. I know of no major makers using horshide in the 60s.
I have...
I found little about the Durable company. Brando's leather jacket in The Wild Ones is thought by some to be made by Durable. They were a Canadian brand. If you have any information on the company post it, I would be interested.
I did find information on the Lang Tanning company.
The...
Brooks sportswear Detroit Michigan made a lot of leather jackets. This is one style I had not seen. I was intrigued when it showed up on ebay. The price was out of line, but that changed and I was able to buy it quite reasonable. I'm always after something a bit unique, something that stands...
This is my only Freewheelers jacket. Got this from @TiltRotorFlyer. We have done several jacket deals. Each one a pleasure.
This is sized 44 and is every bit that size. I am about 190 pounds in the fit pictures. I also have the bottom hem cinchs drawn in. You could probably get a few more...
Another beautiful suede in a lovely shade.
This is my fourth Suede beauty from yesteryear. I'm not that familiar with the Conmar zippers on this jacket. Conmars typically copy the Talon look. This Conmar looks like a late 40s Talon. The jacket is also similar to a late 40s Sportclad...
Certified drool worthy! The most recognizable, most desired civilian leather jacket.
I don't typically post auctions, don't want to be a spoiler.
This will be an interesting sale.
Any guess on sale price? there is another currently on ebay out of Europe is the $4K range.
Getting my Jackets together for a winter sales extravaganza.
Stay tuned, should have several up this weekend. Will just update this as more jackets are ready.

I bought this jacket in October 2017 in celebration of my 65th birthday. I had longed for this jacket, but hard to find in a size 44. I like black A-2s and this one really grabbed me. I was wearing a Bill Kelso Monarch A-2 in Liberty Horsehide I bought near new a couple of years back. The...
Bought a year ago. I did not buy it new. You can see the unboxing video below.
I've always though black A-2s are cool. I had admired this version and had a chance to buy a 44. I use to see them on ebay and have not seen one recently. They are available in Japan, but try finding a size 44...
I swear off Cafe Racers then I buy three. So here is another for your viewing pleasure.
WB Place was making leather goods a long time ago. Originally they used Horsehide, cowhide, deerskin. In the later years it seems they were Deerskin only. I don't know the exact year, I would guess 70s...
Thought I would give the lounge a try on selling some guitars. I bought/sold/collected acoustic guitars for many years. I have mainly Gibson guitars. I have no Martin guitars.
Here are a few I'm starting with. Contact me for full information and price. Let your friends know.
Thanks, T...
I got my first CR, a Brooks, about 6 years ago in a deal. It was a throw in. The other jackets in the deal are long gone. Since then I have owned and sold 5 Brooks..I've owned a couple of other brands that have all passed on, including a 70s steerhide Taubers. I've been an advocate of the...
