Just finishing up pictures, now working on some videos. These 3 will soon grace these pages. I will put each in a thread over the next day or so.
I know it is not "jacket weather", but here is your chance to get ahead of the weather and be prepared.

"If one was going to build a collection of a specific maker of vintage jackets, I think Taubers would be one of the most interesting brands to pursue"
The quote is from another thread. Taubers are the first jackets I stared collecting after a tip from a long gone member here. From there I...
Another non-fitting jacket from my collection. This is a most interesting 1940s Aviator style jacket. It has no labels, but I am calling it light weight horsehide. I've handled 100s of vintage jackets and this is my assessment. It is in the size 40/42 size. I'm 5'9" 190 pounds and I can zip...

This is a one of a kind jacket by John Chapman of Goodwear leather. It was commissioned to celebrate Pancho Barnes history in aviation. John told me he would never make another as it was just too much work.
It is made of Shinki horsehide, marked size 44.
Pancho Barnes...
I collect vintage Wool half-belts which are exceedingly difficult to find. This Woolrich has all the look of the 1940s jackets, but not the weight. Perfect for Spring time weather.
Outside of Japan I can only think of two makers for this style of Wool jacket. Even new ones are difficult to...
Could not pass up this California Sportswear trucker. CSC is always a cut above. This jacket is not exception. Lots of truckers out there, good-bad-ugly-cheap-especially the Suede. They were the thing in the early 70s. I Graduated High School in 1970. I doubt I could have afforded this...
Had this a few years and don't wear it. No label or otherwise identified. I strongly believe was made in Japan. Has the nice repro Waldes zipper seen on other Japanese reproductions.
Absolutely no issues, basically like new.
Pictures tell the tale better than me.

I bought this jacket over a year ago and never tried it on. I thought it would not fit. Just too cool to pass. I was most surprised when it fit! Turning the sides again was too much on the recent day I took this pictures. It is an effort and the jacket is probably 75 years old. I will get...
Thought about this thread for some time. A thread like this was discussed this summer, but I just couldn't muster the energy to start it. Now I'm reaching that point again.
You can help me to get things started. I need to get my collection in order.
Who else collects? How do you approach...
Selling some of the items I've collected through the years. They are not leather jackets. Just some case candy to brighten up your collection!

Full Roackabilly McGregor! This cream puff is probably late 50s/early 60s. In excellent original condition. These are all about the color which is best seen in the Video. This jacket is not dirty and dingy! I would not have it here if it was. There is some hanger rust in the upper lining...
Check out the beautiful finish on this 1940s Knopf goatskin jacket. The jacket is in excellent condition through out. Everything works and nothing appears to be missing. Size 40 tag in pocket. All buttons are present, zipper is a mid 40s Talon and well sewn. Nice two button cuffs. Lining...
Beautiful traditional Half-belt styling in this Deerskin. American Deerskin jackets are seldom seen in this half-belt styling, this one has the addition of the lining. Fancy lining are another seldom seen feature of American Deer jackets.
I have this one and a Milco West from Portland. They...
Absolutely Beautiful and if it fits you a a Fortunate Son. This Kurland is from the mid-late 50s. Kurland was the maker of the early red wool lined Sportclad MC jackets. I own 4 of those now and bought this one just to have a look at, just to see how good these jackets are. It is every bit...
Purchases years ago as new. Don't know the model name or the leather. People called it the Captain America jacket. One of the best fitting jackets I ever put on. I'm 5'9" 190 and it is perfect fit. The zippers are smooth the adjustment straps on waist and cuffs actually work. The pockets...
I wanted to say "cheap" in the title, but that just didn't seem correct. The Price is affordable and commiserate with the condition. How's that for fancy talk!
I could have said mechanics special, I like that. This jacket needs some love, but mostly needs to be worn. Has two or three cuts...
