What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Late 70's / early 80's Vanson Model F. As you hoarding hooligans know, it feels good to grab a different jacket now and then for a different look. Walking into work, so I can pay for more jackets obviously.

    Vanson Octagon Model B 42

I've purchased a jacket from this guy...condition of jacket, packaging & shipping were all top notch. I'd be buying this if I didn't already have another jacket on the way. This thing is gorgeous! Somebody please buy this, so I don't lol.

Vanson Model F Brown Comp Weight 42

I believe there is a thread on here, indicating the owner of the jacket prior to @Al 916 may have actually used Obenauf's oil on it. Here it is, unless I'm mistaken. https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/vanson-model-f-sz-42”-tobacco-leaf-brown.111110/#post-3012604 However the end result was...

FS Vanson Dakota, older competition weight, size 42

Sold. Threw it back in "the Bay", from whence it came.

FS Vanson Dakota, older competition weight, size 42

Catch and release. Tried the longer style, it's not for me. Pricing this low, due to sticky zipper and a few holes in the liner. The leather on this is nice, but overall I'd consider this a beater jacket. 225 shipped, to the CONUS, or can ship overseas if you pay shipping. Paypal F&F Vanson...

Great taste in jackets, and in vinyl. Back In Black is one of the best R&R albums ever.

Finds and Deals - Leather Jacket Edition

It's the fact that it's being sold as "new, with tags", choose your size, and it comes from Pakistan. Vanson Leathers are made in Fall River, MA. If it was a Vanson Leathers jacket or a Thurston Bros Vanson jacket, it would be sold from them directly. Not from a seller with 2 reviews.

Finds and Deals - Leather Jacket Edition

I reported the seller on eBay, maybe if they receive enough reports it'll get shut down. Worth a try I guess. I also forwarded it to Kim at Vanson. She replied and said they have been dealing with sites like that for over a year, and that she would pass the info on to the person they have...

    Vanson jacket appreciation

On the subject of Vanson, rode to work today in the quilted C2. 31 degrees F on the way and 39 degrees F coming home. Only a long sleeve t-shirt under it. With the built-in quilted liner, double layer leather in the cross zipped front portion, and belt for cinching the hem to prevent wind from...

    Vanson jacket appreciation

That's a reallllly good looking jacket and nice hide! I like the symmetry of having chest zips on both sides, and the short front length, both for riding and for the way it looks. Great fit on you! I should give the Comet a second look. These Vansons multiply in my closet, I swear lol.

How old is your Comet? I'd love to see pics of that, I love the older CW!

    Red Wing Recommendations

Excellent and thank you for the info. I guess that stiff sturdy leather will just have to do battle with my feet for a short time until it succumbs lol
