Cuffed jeans or not??
Noticed a little banter on here regarding the practice of wearing your jeans cuffed or not.
Back in my Mod days in the 60's, we certainly DIDN'T cuff our jeans - it was more of a bikeboy thing - but we were the ones wearing US made jeans (Levi & Lee).
Nowadays, it seems...
Looks like a candidate for a caption competition...
I think the tall guy is saying "Hey man! Your hat looks better on me, even when it's back to front!!"
:D;)
I'm with you there on the guitars, Edward. when I got my first "proper" guitar back in the mid 60's (a Kalamazoo-made Epiphone Casino with a Bigsby), if I wasn't playing it, I was polishing it!
And I still do the same.
Jackets though, I tend to prefer to look a little used. Not worn out &...
Aero have done the "Waterfront" for a while now, but have never expanded this range, so I guess it is not so popular as their leather offerings.
I keep fancying one - I'm sure I've seen a red one, which would be perfect.:D;)
Here's a pic (which has been on here before) from "Only Angels Have Wings" made in 1939.
Maybe someone could make a repro of this one. Similarly drapey, like the Raiders thing, but with a closer fit (not hanging off his shoulders) and much smaller pockets.
I suspect that it was real...
My word! I hadn't seen that one when I was doing the mods to the Aeromarine. So with a bit of synchronicity, and alot of input from fellow FLers, it turned out quite well... I especially like Edward's suggestion of the buttons & loops on the pockets:D;)
The LVC one looks just a tad longer in...
So the Simmons Bilt doesn't have a collar like the AlexCo thing after all. It has a shawl collar. So I repeat what I said in the first place. I guess they can't be bothered getting it right.
Unlike Himel, Aero and LVC, who can.........:D;)
