Wooow...that's some serious character!
That hat went from bland to smashing...and the best part is that it's a hand-me-down from an important person.
My dad wore fedoras in the "Indiana Jones" style. I don't think I'm that kind of person, but I'd cherish it if he gave me one of his old beat up...
It's very well deserved, That's one awesome hat!
If you ever get a telescope block in and decide to make one with a 3.5" brim telescoped...my credit card awaits.

I am loving my engineer boots.
Just took the Frye pair to the cobbler to have a grip put on the bottom of them. Tired of sliding around...lol.
The CK boots I wear daily are my absolute favorite right now, they just fit right.
Ah dangit, I meant to tell my cobbler buddy to try and raise the...
I've never had any of the high end boots you listed, but I have had high end shows before and I hated the slippery leather inside them. Combined with dress socks it made for a dangerously unstable walk. Luckily they were church shoes given to me as a gift.
Went back to wearing combat boots...
Question: anyone have info or advice on converting a harness-boot harness top-strap to a "strap with buckle"?
I have a general idea of how to go about it, but as always...instruction and advice are requested.
Thank you!

I guess...
That's just insane. Like that crappy beat up homeless vagrant wear that Kanye West is marketing as high-line and high-priced clothing for hipsters.
Yeah right....i'm not paying thousands of dollars to look homeless.
(NOTE: no offense to the homeless population. Been there, done...
I take that back.
It just took the right pairs of engineer boots, my favorite insoles, re-setting the holes on the instep strap and some leather softener and I'm good to go...times two.
Rocking a pair of CK Ugilio engineers,
And a pair of Frye Walt harness boots.
Loving it...
Goodness gracious!
What is the history with those boots that they would command such a high price?
I mean...they're beautiful, but it takes more than that for me lol.

Aaaaaand I'm upset.
These CK boots are bleeding dye so badly it may as well be dog fur.
I put my leg up on my knee to look at the boots...dye stain on my cargos.
Grrrr...
These Fryes came in right on time. Too bad I can't return the bloody CKs though.
I love my stiffer hats.
Mostly because I wear WIDE brim hats that are +3" on the brim and they catch the wind like you wouldn't believe. My Amish fits like a socket on my head now that I've figured out how to pad the underside of the leather sweatband. That hat is stiff, but still soft enough to...
Thank you! It was such an awesome find!
There is such a huge quality difference between the Frye boots and the Calvin Klein boots.
The Fryes are just a better fit without any modification, whereas with the CKs I've had to add leather softener to stretch the toebox and while they fit and grip...
Unbelievable...
I just went by the local cobbler shop to see my buddy and figure out how to remove the insoles from these Calvin Klein Ugilio engineer boots I just bought.
He looks at them and tells me how to replace the insoles, then says...
"Hey man, if you like those CK boots...take a look...
Sounds about right.
I went in there back in 1992 looking for engineer boots and they only had loggers.
So I bought a pair of loggers for 200+ dollars...
Had em until last year when I donated them to goodwill...I wasn't wearing them.
Plus my heart had moved back to Engineers again over the years.
