Hey TomS
Tim is going to have another one on the block for me in a month or so. Something in a grey color. Haven't decided on the exact color yet, he's getting me some felt samples. He's working on a couple of hats right now. I'm sure he'll be getting busier as more get acquainted with his work...
Good Morning Nice Hat!
You're not forward sir, just asking a question and there's no harm in that. I live in Lincoln County, about 80 miles south east of Louisville, in Stanford, KY. I pastor Willow Grove Baptist Church just outside of Danville, KY on US 150 East. Glad you asked! Nice talking...
Hey Detective, I have to whole heartedly agree with Short Balding Guy. He's exactly right, if your hat looks good on you, to you, and if it feels good on your head, then you've got a winning combination which means a fit that suits you. Go for it. You can't really tell from those old movie pics...
Congratulations Matt!!
:eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap Thank God for Little Girls!! I've got two of them, not so little anymore but I've got a beautiful little 2 year old Grand Daughter, she loves hats too! Congratulations on the new little blessing and on the beautiful hat. I know you're proud...
Good Morning Art:
The two hats from me are on the way! I just hope two veterans will get some enjoyment out of them. Thanks again for what you're doing with this project. Neither hat is in bad shape at all, I just don't wear them much and thought they could go to help someone who may wear them...
What? Who?
Patron Saint of Hatters....I've learned something else here on the Lounge! I didn't know there was such a thing..:) And a Hatty St. Clement's Day to you too Topper.
Agree with RBH on the Campdraft
Hello Tom, the Akubra Campdraft can't be beat if you're looking for a wide brim, thin ribbon, tall crown. One of my Campdrafts is my daily go to hat just about every time I step outside the house, unless I'm going to mow grass or go to the garden. Like RBH said...
Great Hat 1961 MJS!
That hat looks like it fits the era! That's another quality built into it. You wear it well, looks really good on you! Enjoy! :eusa_clap:eusa_clap
I've got to agree with RBH. I'm not a Catholic Priest but I am a Baptist Preacher, and my Silverbelly Heritage Camp Draft has worked well for me in lots of occasions. But then I like tall crowns and wide brims! Take care, wish you the best in your search. There is a lot of good people here in...
Thanks to all!
Thanks to you all for your positive comments, they are all appreciated! I've enjoyed being member of the Lounge since 2008, it's a great place to learn and to get to know guys with a common interest in hats. I appreciate everyone for sharing your knowledge and answering...
I'll Add One to the List
All these mentioned are great hatters and like most everybody has already said, "you can't go wrong with any of them." I want to add one to the list, Tim; Cane Rod Maker, also a fellow lounger. He does a fantastic job, stays in touch and keeps you posted with pics along...
I've got to agree with Matt, pockets on dress shirts are a must for me, any shirt for that matter. I wear a tux only occasionally, but wear suits all the time. To me the shirts I wear with a suit are "dress" shirts. That's just how I've titled them and a requirement is a pocket. Gotta have it to...
Thanks Scooter and gtdean!
Tim, Cane Rod Maker sent some more pics this afternoon, they are great! Just wanted to share them! Now I'm really finding this waiting game very hard to do! Tim, thanks for doing great work and your eye for detail.

Thank you Tall Crown Dave!!
Here's my new hat from Cane Rod Maker. Tall Crown Dave, thanks for getting the pics up for me, don't know yet what I'm not doing but will keep working on it till I get it. The hat is Pecan, 7 3/4, 5" crown, 1 3/4 vintage brown ribbon, with a 2 3/4" brim. Tim, Cane...
Here are the pics Tim sent me last night. Whatever my posting problem was I think I've got it fixed. Pecan felt, 5" crown, vintage brown ribbon, 2 3/4" brim.
Tim did a fantastic job with this. Thanks Pete, pjt113 for your inspiration too. Now all I've got to do is wait for it to arrive which...
