Are you with me?

Don't know if this really belongs in The Display Case, but several of our members (Eyemo, KilroyCD among others) have their own privat War Room with some great collections. Let's see what you got gentlemen!:) Let us in!!!!!
My "War Room" is not so much a whole room, but here it is...
I know it's a type B - the classic, the icon - but 2.700 £ for a massproduced leatherhelmet!!! Was it some fellowlounger, who went over the top at e-bay?
By the way - anybody out there got a spare one for sale.
I could use one - but not for 2.700£ :D
I often wonder who I look like in my family.
Not really my mother or my father - but I found this picture of my grandfather on my mothers site.
The likeness is stunning, I think.
When he was 40 years old.
Me - at the same age.
I even have a picture of him when he was 65 - just...
There is a new Norwegian movie out: Max Manus - it tells the true story of one of Norways most courageous resistancemembers during the occupation in WWII.
I saw it yesterday and can only recommend it. It's great filmwork and a very moving story. See the trailer here...
Only 10 and half hours left of 2009 - Thank you to all, I have had the pleasure of "meeting" and "talking to" in 2009.

INTRODUCTION
It all started with a picture. A photo in the book called THE FEW.
A photo of a young RAF pilot – rather longhaired – standing besides his Hurricane with a big grin.
I could not shake off that image of...
Inspired by the lawyers in this great forum, I would like to reserve a small cornertable in the bar, where everybody doing advertising can sit down and have a chat.
I myself has been working in advertising for more than 30 years. Starting out as an Art Director, moved on to copywrting and then...
You might not know it - but there is a Pin Up thread in the Powder Room, where men are not asked to speak up - or maybe even to look... :o [huh] (There, I said it!!!!)
But strictly between me and you: There are some fantastic pictures of the gordious ladies of the Lounge. We men are just...
Any day now I will become the happy owner of a Aero Pre-War Irvin jacket:D :D
So I have to make room for it.
So off goes my WPG Irvin - only bought last year.
And also my trusted ALC (Aviation Leather Craft) Irvin - bought one and a half year ago.
This jacket was made in a lighter...
...we're here because, we're here because....
We all have different reasons for hanging out here. Some have the same intersts, few (I am only guessing here) are reading all the posts in all the different "rooms". Some of us only read and post in a couple of "rooms"
Why are you here?
What...
Sorry if this has been talked about before, but I have a question:
After wearing my Borsalino straw for some time now - especially in Italy on some very hot days, a lot of sweat/salt stays behind on the outside hatband.
And at the sweatband too.
How do I clean it, without destrying the...
Inspired by posts in the Oyster thread, came to think about this:
You are host to a party of forreigners. People who has never been to your country before. Might even be from a totally different culture.
What would you serve them?
What food/drink should they try in order to know your...
I was re-watching "A Family at War" the other night. In one of the last episodes we follow an airraid over Germany with RAF crews. They were all flying something that looked very much like B-17's. Which almost spoiled the whole evening.
I know it's a TV series, I know about limited budgets and...
Ever since 4th of may 1945 this day has been celebrated as the day Denmark was free again after 5 years of Nazi occupation.
It is the evening where people light candles in the windows, to celebrate and remember the many men and women who lost their lives fighting for freedom and democracy in...
