    I would say that there are two boots that epitomize the U.S. The cowboy boot and the engineer boot. Both are light years away from the RM Chelsea (great boot BTW)

    I've found that leather dressing with beeswax (Pecards or Obenaufs) on the stitching and seams will quiet the squeaks. But when the dressing dries, the squeaks return to a lesser amount.
