It starts while it is still light outside and continues through the night until, I assume, they either run out, go to sleep, pass out, get arrested, or set something on fire.

We have had a few fires started locally by illegal fireworks. We already have enough fires in the neighboring hills, it’s not like there was a shortage of things to do for firefighters.

It scares the heck out of our cats too. It is why we stay home on the Fourth so that they can sit with us and feel safe. Strangely, the noise making started later this year. Hopefully, it will end sooner than it normally does.

Gusty winds tonight with very dry conditions (especially after 8 days of 100 degrees plus temperatures) and plenty of Idiots setting off illegal fireworks. People just don’t learn.

I am starting to feel the same about del Toro’s films as I do about Tim Burton flicks. Both directors turned out enjoyable films early on, but not so much later on. The visuals still tend to be nicely done, but the stories and acting are hit and miss. :D
Yes, you are correct. Thank you for pointing that out. I have now corrected that. We were patient too just because something about the previews didn’t do it for me. Saw it was on HBO Max, it was hot outside, so why not. Should’ve gone outside.

Nightmare Alley (the new, but not improved version) last night. We weren’t impressed and barely entertained. We expected so much more and kept waiting for it to get better but it didn’t.
