I suppose that I was assuming that everyone knew about Rugers Tropical series. It used to be only .375 H&H, .416 Rigby and then 458 Win Mag. Then they started adding different calibers. I think but am not sure that the "Boddington in 300 H&H is one of these also, maybe Renault can qualify this.- jkingrph

Clean that hat.
About 20 years ago before I really started wearing hats regularly, my brother in law shows up with what had been a fairly nice black western Stedson. Dirty is putting it mildly. I have a big Miluwakee wet/dry vaccum so I put a brush on it and proceded to clean his hat. It sucked stuff out... -

Square toe shoes

I have a #1 in .375 H&H as well as one in a CZ550 Safari. The CZ is much more plesant to shoot than the #1, What I would like to find is a #1 in 30-06 configured like the tropicals, moderately heavy barrel, Alex Henry forearm and iron sights.- jkingrph

My Dad had one of those, plus one with a 4" barrel. I could shoot that stubbie and really liked it. I asked him if he ever wanted to get rid of it to let me buy it but he forgot and sold the stubbie to a business acquaintence who wanted a gun. I still have the 4" model as a house gun...- jkingrph

Rebuilding is not always available. I had a pair that still looked good but the inside lining was falling to pieces. The could or would not work on them. I still think they are one of the best shoes available.- jkingrph
