HD x Vanson cross zip half belt vest in US cowhide with a matte/Sheen finish and black hardware.
Typical Vanson quality with slightly lighter hide than their comp weight.
Just confirmed with VANSON that my cycle king 2022 run was made with their competition weight steerhide with thicker split and heavier wax, hence, it's stiffer and shinier than say the C2.
Leather does not stretch so if your armpits areas are tight, then they will always be tight. The leather will get broken in after you wear it for a while and it kind of molds to your body with creases and folds that conform to your body. But the jacket will not get roomier.
It sounds like you...
I had similar experiences over the years.
Academia undergoing renovation, corporate offices relocating and such.
Disposal or liquidation of all the old furniture including Eames chairs in various colors and bases, George Nelson action table and shelving units, Florence knoll credenzas and...
That reminds me of the situation between Eames and Bertoia on the wire chair. Though some suggested that it originated from the design of the Eames LCM and DCM when Bertoia was working at Eames.
The Bertoia diamond chair in particularly the wide diamond is gorgeous and ergonomically brilliant...
I am compelled to mention Le Corbusier in terms of "ahead of his time" or "defining the future". I am still seeing current generation of architects "borrowing" his Villa Savoye design all over the places...
Evidently, Breuer was inspired by the tubular steel frame of the Adler bicycle to come up with the idea of using tubular steel for the furniture.
Breuer is one of my favorite architects/designers and the original Whitney museum is simply hauntingly and quietly breathtaking.
I spent a day at...
I agree. The jacket is substantial for someone who's coming from lamb/goat and other lighter caliber pieces.
If they make a regular version with HH with the same pattern, I will undoubtedly buy one.
Personally, 613SH is the only Schott that I like. The new shinki fits very similar to the vandals but I have a thing for the D pocket so it's not compelling enough for me.
I too like the pattern of the jacket a lot and it actually fits me perfectly. But ultimately I can't get pass the light weight tumbled pre-broken in leather (the regular vandals). It's too soft and drapey and it doesn't have much structural silhouette that I prefer.
It would have been a...
The leather of my CK feels very similar to CW of Vanson C2, except that the CK appears to have a bit more waxy sheen to it. I think the CK is one gorgeous jacket!
Hi all
I am interested in the Double Helix Type 1 indigo horse jacket but I would like to see what it might look like once it's broken in in particular with the white core showing.
The photos on Double Helix Works website only shows a close up of the elbow area and I am hoping to see the...
Based on my experience, Vanson tends to run a bit roomier with a bit more chest ease (e.g. C2)
A size 38 Y'2 HR-55 would likely not fit like a Vanson C2 in size 38.
I wear Vanson Cycle King size S which is more like the size 36 C2 except that the C2 is slightly shorter and has a bit more taper...
