USAF N-3B parkas - Let's talk about them!!

Speaking of Star Wars and coats, Hans Solo has a new coat in Force Awakens. Looks quite functional for cold weather.

In China, there are established grades for copied fashion products. The top grades can retail for quite a sum too.

I would think that Korea is less "wild west" than China in terms of IP matters. That said, IP rights are to a large extent territorial and it would seem a bit hard to maintain a cause of action if there is no international registration of trademark by GW. I may be visiting Korea in spring...

General fit criteria -- What are yours?

The fit depends on the type and style of jacket. For my cafe racer, I prefer it more fit and snug, but not skin tight. Just enough to layer a thin sweater underneath. Length wise, I wouldn't mind the belt being exposed by a bit. For coats or anything heavier, would definitely prefer something...

Repro Raf Gauntlets-Are these any good:

Thanks for the second link! I am quite tempted by the touch screen gloves but they only come in black. Any idea where to get such gloves in brown?

    So what do you think?

Well Well if its a repro, the perforations and stenciled markings sure look rather authentic.

Shoulder bag that looks less purse like

I use the same satchel as you and I don't think that it looks too purse like. Try saddlebag leather? http://www.saddlebackleather.com/

Sweater sizes - baggy versus tight-fitting

The fit would depend on the weather. If its close to 0, a slightly looser heavy woolen sweater would assist in layering. If its 10 to 20, a more fitting sweater would look sharp and smart.

Repro Raf Gauntlets-Are these any good:

I suppose the extended wrist covers are to be worn below the jacket? Looks effective at keeping one warm while on a bike. Vanson has similar leather gloves too. http://www.vansonleathers.com/main_page/chapters/mens/gloves_list.html

    Politics and outwear

I personally do agree that buying an item from a luxury brand makes little sense especially when one is unsure of the source of production and when the durability of the said item may be similar if not lousier than that of say, Aero. However, a great majority of people base their purchases on...

New Ladies and Gents Step Forward

Hi all, I stumbled on this forum when I was searching for vintage leather jackets. I suffer from a bout of anachronism and I am therefore always interested in vintage items. I am very much into travelling as well. Its a pleasure visiting this lounge!

Perhaps Magnoli Femme? Though I only had experience with the products for the gents, the man himself is attentive and responsive. http://www.magnolifemme.com/jackets-custom-made-leather-by-magnoli-clothiers-c-89_34.html
