    wash your jeans?

    I'll have to check those out- thanks for the tip! I forgot to mention that while jeans veer towards parity on front-rear rise numbers, off the peg suit trousers I used to buy when I was younger always had a pronounced front-rear rise difference and fit nicely. I buy tailored suits now, but the...

    wash your jeans?

    I work in China, so it's not like I can find anything to try on here that could even theoretically fit. Rear rise on jeans is minute here it seems, with the much smaller derrières the Asian men possess compared to other ethnicities, but peculiarly the front rise on jeans/trousers/shorts is...

    wash your jeans?

    Front rise and rear rise really need differentiating. I need a high rear rise because I have a big ass from years of weightlifting, but I wear my jeans on my hips so I need a regular front rise. When I buy jeans the decision firstly revolves around the ability to fit into the jeans without a...

    New Aero Bootlegger v. 2.0 CXL Brown

    It’ll happen ;) I’m curious what your favourite jacket is? If this one wasn’t worth 2 months worth of ownership then the keeper must be darn special! And any other customised designs on order currently, if not another BL?

    New Aero Bootlegger v. 2.0 CXL Brown

    @ton312 So.... is v4.0 already under construction or are you holding fire for a few months?

    EBay arghh!! ##$&&

    Might be worth mentioning my friend had only sold a couple of items before and of lesser value, so that likely counted against his trustworthiness. He was a broke student at the time so that £400 loss ($600+ back then) was quite a kick in the balls. Not cool.

    EBay arghh!! ##$&&

    I hope you’re fine, but eBay is a crapshoot. My old housemate sold his iPhone on eBay years ago, for about £400. Packed it when I was in the room with him in fact. Buyer claimed it had lots of missing components when he got it and sent photos as ‘proof’. Clearly a bullshit scam. My friend lost...

    New Aero Bootlegger v. 2.0 CXL Brown

    The hide looked amazing, but perhaps you just applied a nice filter to your photos? :D We’re extremely similar in terms of jacket size- and I would have purchased this one from you in fact! Please let me know when you’re selling versions 4-10! :rolleyes: I’m genuinely thinking of ordering...

    New Aero Bootlegger v. 2.0 CXL Brown

    Why, Ton, why?? There must be logic behind the apparent madness... right?

    New Aero Bootlegger v. 2.0 CXL Brown

    Ton, did you really sell v3.0 after only a month of ownership? :eek: Why?! Is v4.0 under construction?

    The Flathead Rider Jacket (Last Ever?)

    Compare that to a size 44 Aero Board racer: Chest 24, shoulder 18.25. Link. My favourite jacket is about 24.5/19. You're lucky you fit this one so nicely :)

    Simply about leathers

    I’ve been to the tanneries in Fez too- those workers probably suffer more ailments from walking knee deep in pigeon shit than the folks in the unregulated chromium tanning facilities in the developing world. When you visit they pass you a handful of mint to hold in front of your nose to mask the...

    The Flathead Rider Jacket (Last Ever?)

    On the subject of cashless payments- it’s the way of the future. Aside from foreign holidays I’ve not withdrawn cash from an ATM for two years! Nor do I use my credit or debit card in stores. Here in China practically everything is paid for using mobile phones and QR codes- and it’s not just...

    The Flathead Rider Jacket (Last Ever?)

    I think the jacket looks really cool, especially as you wear it in and it drapes more naturally. Out of curiosity, what are the chest and shoulder measurements for this jacket? I’m a very similar size to you, and it suits you well regardless of the unusual shoulders.

    The Flathead Rider Jacket (Last Ever?)

    Those are unusual shoulder measurements, especially for a Japanese made jacket. I’ve been in Asia for most of the past decade and it’s fairly clear the chaps here aren’t so broad in the shoulder as Westerners. I have a big chest and back from weightlifting, and my chest measurement makes many...

    Eastman Leather Clothing Ostmann Luftwaffe Jacket Brown

    Ooh, I did have one question.. are the underarms built with the American football shape under them, for ease of movement? I think that’s a good feature

    Eastman Leather Clothing Ostmann Luftwaffe Jacket Brown

    Are the zippers solid metal or coated/painted/plated? An option to customise the zip, as suggested by someone else, would be very handy for plenty of people it seems. Feedback in this thread seems to mirror mine... Zips aside, wonderful jacket. Lovely shape and super little features.

    Eastman Leather Clothing Ostmann Luftwaffe Jacket Brown

    Such a fantastic looking jacket. Stunning! Unless I'm mistaken the price seems to have shot up in the last couple of years? Thought about getting one before after seeing Eastman jackets at Duxford on a trip to England. Very good shape for my frame. Price aside, the issue is those zips. Gosh...

    What other things do jacket junkies feel it's not ok to go for the cheapest option

    I’m so all over the show with my answer to this- I buy some very expensive premium items, as well as the cheap and mid range stuff. I like to have some items of top quality, but I expect them to last years and years (and they tend to). Sunglasses, boots, phones, laptops, speakers/hifi stuff...

    Pronto - Thailand

    I like their stores. Good stock, often better prices than you’d get in Europe for the same items, especially if you negotiate a discount (likely you will get one). And they’ll hem jeans to length for free, doing a very nice job of it too.
