Leather Watchband Rot
Instead of a leather strap, get something like a Spiedel band. It would not look out of place on the watch you linked. You should be able to get a color to match the watch and they are commonly available at jewellers. Is there a Chrome version? It will have a retro look, be more durable...- Talbot

Agreed, wise words, but if you want selection.... Anyway, it does one's reputation little to be seen consorting with antique dealers. Dodgy lot. I recently settled an estate (Mother in Law) comprising entirely of antique furniture, mostly Biedermeier. An eye opening experience.- Talbot
