I am not the most knowledgable individual present but I would suggest looking in the hat and finding out if the hat is made of wool or felt. Depending on what the hat is made of it may help determine on what occasions you may wish to wear the hat in unfavorable weather conditions.
I have hat hair as well, but I am not required to remove my hat for my job. In general the only time I would be seen with hat hair is while driving my vehicle, as it does not accommodate wearing a hat while driving.
I do not have my head shaved, I could comb it if I like.
You may just want to...
If you are interested in the 150th Anniversary Hat collection, be aware of the fellow on Ebay selling these hats at $1200 or more. They can be purchased for less than that and for a good bit less at that.
I performed a search on what you posted, it roughly translated to: Hat Saville or Hat of Saville/ Great Price
I could not find a translation for Trespoin, I tried French, Spanish, and Italian.
I could not really find any real information regarding Chapeau de Saville.
Perhaps there is another...
"In the early 1920's a young millionaire, E.R. Byer sold his business in Michigan and traveled South to further his fortune and investment. His investment was a brilliant young hat maker, Harry Rolnick, who was operating a small hat factory. E.R. Byer was one of Rolnick's customers and was so...
I do not currently have any names for my hats. The Resistol and the Stetson I own have style names, but that came from the factory. I suppose I never considered "naming" my hats.
However, I was wondering if others name their hats. I look forward to seeing what develops.
I think Joao is rubbing off on me. I am considering going to a greater brim length. I am currently at 4 inches. I am considering a 4.25 inches or 4.5 inches.
After reading through this thread I began to think I was crazy. I had been told countless times not to add anything to a fur felt hat (beaver or hare) for waterproofing. So as I read through this I see recommendations for this product, that product, and even hat covers.
So I became a bit...
The aforementioned hat is black. I did not notice any bleeding of the dye. There was no dye on my forehead, in my hair or on my coat. The hat has a self-band of black fur. The sweat band was absent of any dye as well. As hard as it was raining, the dye could have ran off when I tilted my head...
I was wearing a Resistol 6x City Limits hat and was caught in a recent down pour. Each time I looked down, water ran off the hat as if I was pouring from a pitcher. I allowed this hat to dry at room temperature for a few days, applied stiffener and returned to wearing it. Only to be caught in...
I am not an employee of Hatco, Stetson, or Resistol. I am simply a western hat fan; therefore, I had no say in what Stetson decided to offer. Lol.
I had recently heard Stetson was going to have some new hats to mark their 150 years. I went in search of what was to be made. I came across the...
Is anyone planning to purchase one of Stetson's 150th anniversary hats?
If you are unsure of what they are or what I am talking about it ( :) ) check out: http://www.hat-co.com/perch//resources/fall-2015-stetson-western.pdf
