Getting there, though I’d say the mid-chest height possibly looks worse than the more common placement! I’d say higher, smaller, and possibly only one, maybe even jetted with a flap to minimize bulk.
These opinions are obviously those of a rank (stinky) amateur, but thank you for engaging, HM.
Might as well try here first as it seems to be the closest thing to what my question entails.
Has anyone gotten or seen a modified A-1 that either has no pockets or only has upper ones? I look at the design and feel like for those of us that are more pear shaped (either with gut or, in my case...
Hello all, first missive in this thread, hope it’s not out of place.
I have a modified D-1 coming from Aero.
The differences are a thinner shearling (usually only used on the Outlaw vest), one inch off the length and arms, and added width at the hem.
Hopefully here Tuesday.
Indeed, thank you very much!
I just ordered two Everyman models from Aero’s bargain bin as a way in to higher end jackets, one in Seal Battered HH and the other in Taupe Goat Suede. The Seal one is a 34 and the Taupe is a 36. Having very narrow shoulders, that is good news for me.
Shawn answered all of my questions and was willing to work with any wacky ideas that popped into my head. It was because of my scattershot approach that I decided to hold off for now as far as 5* is concerned; I don’t know my fits well enough to be confident in a first order from him.
Hello Carrie, thank you for posting such great pictures of a beautiful jacket!
What are the measurements of this 36 please? Aero jackets sometimes have a rep for being a little oversized, correct? Let me know if this is the wrong venue in which to pose these questions, I’ll delete them asap.
I’m clearly no expert, but it “looks” like the shoulders are already too wide. More room in the chest and waist, less in the shoulders.
Or maybe more down to the shape of the jacket shoulders themselves.
Thank you, that is what I suspected and mentioned later, my main confusion (eventually) being the huge difference between the stated size and the jacket dimensions.
Well, as others have stated your best bet is to measure a jacket that fits you well, or even one that doesn’t and take a hard look at what makes it not fit you.
Measure the sleeve length; too long? Most are in my view, there’s lots of advice online about correct length.
Check a cuff dimension...
Doesn’t sound like it’s much or anything more than standard, I think most upcharges are down to hardware/leather choices or some of the larger sizes, though most here will be able to tell you for sure. Read up page, all required measurements are listed.
