It’s X150. I used to own this exact jacket and sold it to @trainspotter :) one of a kind piece, now that Vanson’s factory burned down and the OG X150 is a thing of the past. This baby is a beauty.
They are the same jacket to my knowledge, and the exact same leather. The Custom just has the epaulettes and belt cut cut off (in homage to that trend). But the jackets measure the exact same. Mine definitely isn’t long. My Schott 519 is longer, for sure.
yeah, the Leon Custom has the cut off epaulettes. The Leon No Star is the more standard perfecto model. People either love it or hate it. I dig it. To each their own.
Purchased this new from RGT earlier this year. Size Medium. Killer piece, just ended up wearing it far less than anticipated. Excellent condition, only a handful of wears. Almost sold out here on their site for $295...
Been sitting on this jacket for a while, and just doesn't fit me quite right. At least not enough to justify keeping a jacket of this price and magnitude. It deserves someone wearing it regularly.
Fine Creek Leathers - "Leon Custom" model in size 40 (which fits like a US 38). I wear a 38 in...
hahaha it's true, I'll take the credit for the Commando bug. Always been one of my favorites. I hear you -- I've got too many as well to have any sort of regular rotation, especially when mixing in denim jackets.
I gotta chime in and agree with the crowd (and your own inner-self, let's be real haha). This jacket is a gem, and you'll regret letting it go one day. Sell some denim jackets, or whatever else allows you to sleep better at night lol. But this one, it's a keeper. Commandos are basically...
White's MP Sherman, built on the 5050 Last, size 9.5 D/E (toebox is an E width).
Cinnamon Waxed Flesh.
Goodyear Commando Sole.
Structured Toe.
Ordered brand new from Baker's. These were worn for a season before realizing they were mis-sized. Tons of life left in these. The 5050 last is awesome...
Agreed! There’s a lot to love with this jacket. I wouldn’t be selling it if I hadn’t jumped on the Tri Jacket pre-order. Just anticipating the fact that this one won’t stay in my rotation down the road.
I'm not sure on the age. I picked it up last summer from a guy who had barely worn it. It was still stock, so I did the customizations myself. As for the sheen, you're correct, it's not particularly shiny. It's definitely still got some in it, but I feel like you see it when the light hits...
Selling this gently used and modified Schott 613SH (S = slim, H = horsehide) in size 38. I’ve cleanly cut off the epaulettes and belt, giving it a more clean and modern silhouette (a pretty common modification). Asking $600. Retails for $940 plus tax.
Overall it’s in excellent condition, just...
Man, this jacket is insane. I've got one on pre-order currently. I feel like this one flies under the radar somehow. Commenting in here to keep this conversation going, as more people need to discover this jacket and someone needs to scoop up yours. Best of luck!
@Bobby Schneider I've got a 613SH in a 38. It's the horsehide version. Such a killer jacket. Just shorter than my taste and tall frame requires. Snake Oil sells it, if you want to peek more at the specs...
Good question. I don’t own the standard width, but they are certainly slimmer than my 9.5EE Red Wings. The Truman last is much more sleek than the Red Wing last, just more form fitting, so probably not too different than you D width.
Hey friends. I know there are boot lovers on here, so figured I'd post these here. Always preferable to pass along here than elsewhere.
Size 10EE. I wear 9.5EE In Red Wings, and 9.5E in White's, and a 9.5 in Viberg 2030. These are comparable, but just a bit shorter (or just less room in the...
