FS: Schott 613SH - Size 38 (Horsehide)

Selling this gently used and modified Schott 613SH (S = slim, H = horsehide) in size 38. I’ve cleanly cut off the epaulettes and belt, giving it a more clean and modern silhouette (a pretty common modification). Asking $600. Retails for $940 plus tax.

Overall it’s in excellent condition, just some subtle creasing in the arms. The leather is super soft and supple. Never worn in the elements.

If you’re unaware of this particular model, it’s truly something special. I’m only selling it because I need to downsize my collection and I tend to go for other jackets that suit my taller frame better. This is a super unique piece, so I’m not interested in low ball offers. I’d rather keep it than part with it for a low price.

how new is it? It seems to have lost its shine which is why I like the horsehide line. Is that just the pics? I sold my exact one but in a size 36 for $515 (shipped) and was holding out on replacing it but this may be a deal: I’m in philly so shipping cant be too bad.

I'm not sure on the age. I picked it up last summer from a guy who had barely worn it. It was still stock, so I did the customizations myself. As for the sheen, you're correct, it's not particularly shiny. It's definitely still got some in it, but I feel like you see it when the light hits it, versus just an overall "sheen." Maybe just do to it having worn off over time.
You're definitely close by, so shipping wouldn't be bad. I don't have any trips to Philly on the books, or I'd suggest meeting up.
