What professions still pretty much require the wearing of a suit these days and where? Attorneys? Only on court/important client days? How does it differ by city -- NYC, Chicago and LA? CPAs? Corporate officers? Anyone else? -

What color waistcoast for morning dress?
I think that would work but one would really need good taste to ensure the combination "worked." If the waistcoat looked too much like the trousers it might get sketchy.
