SOLD - to a mystery European buyer. I'm sure you'll love it.

Aero Dustbowl, Cordovan FGHH, Size 38

For Aero, who no doubt have reduced rates for large volume. If you don't believe me, visit the Royal Mail website and price for a 2.75kg parcel to Europe. £60.42 for 3 day tracked insured. If parcel brokers are used, they're cheaper but with a higher risk of lost parcels from what I've read.

Aero Dustbowl, Cordovan FGHH, Size 38

Thanks for the offer, but Parcelforce tracked to Europe costs about £60, so I'd need to charge the £400 originally quoted for overseas delivery. And that's £400 to me after the buyer pays Paypal fees.

Aero Dustbowl, Cordovan FGHH, Size 38

It's FQHH, despite the title. This was my favourite jacket for a while, but I've put on a few pounds since then and I no longer wear it. It's been broken in so is softer than you'd think and is an absolutely lovely jacket to look at. The shade is one of the darker cordovans. It'll go up on...

Aero Pre-War Irvin, Size 42, Fits 40 better, Excellent Condition

I got this just over a year ago (it's the revised improved model) but hardly wear it as I have so many jackets. It's a 42, but as the pit size is 23", I'd say it fits better as a 40 or even a 38 for a looser fit. I had an extra 0.5" added to the back and sleeves, so the back is about 25.5" and...

Anyone interested in Galashiels after WW1?

I may be wrong, but I think it's actually set in north east England, in a fictional place called Gallowshield, easily confused with the real Galashiels. The lead actor was renowned for his very strong north east accent, no matter what role he played. I remember when it was first on TV, but...

    New Cordo Bootlegger

That looks great. Cordovan's a great colour, but probably only fully appreciated when you see it in person.

    Aero Teamster options questions

Bernie, I only have one now. The first was rebuilt and I stupidly sold the second to fund another jacket. I missed having the Teamster, though, so had to buy another to fill that void. I have a 40" and the chest measures 23", so see if that works for you.

    Aero Teamster options questions

I'm 5'11". My second Teamster was 28.5" and my third 27.5". I suggest you compare those lengths to a jacket you have and your pants pockets and take it from there. Like Fanch, my advice would be to go for a maximum of 28.5". Failing that, a longer jacket. Let us know what you decide on anyway.

    Aero Teamster options questions

I'm on my third Teamster. The first was a disaster, as it came in far too long at about 31.5" (made under the previous management), covering my pants pockets and it just looked weird. They recognised it and remade it shorter, to around mid-pants pockets, where I believe it's meant to sit...

CIANO Farmer Custom-Sized 18oz Chino Khaki - Review

Nice buy. I have his 18oz canvas jacket and 23oz denim jeans, and the stiffness is pretty much identical.

London tailor to alter Aero (suede) jacket?

I agree with the sending back to Aero option. I had the back and sides of my first Teamster taken in by Julie and you'd honestly never have known. It was faultless.

Aero 1930's HB and Premier Highwayman

Very nice, and thanks for the follow up. It'll look even better once it creases up a bit.

First Aero leather jacket - Advise needed

Can't you maybe do a road trip down to Germany and look at some of the Aero stockists there? They would have a wide selection of leathers and styles. My only other advice would be not to overthink this, as others have said, and maybe either spend more to get it right first time or just...

    Ventile ® Adventure Jacket

Nikwax is owned by Paramo who make most of their gear in Colombia in a very ethical operation. The spray is simply a top-up to reproof the waterproof aspects and keep water beading on the surface of the outer layer, where it evaporates or is pushed off by the heat from the inner layer. The...

    Ventile ® Adventure Jacket

Otter, as you know now, it's all about how you wear Paramo. You wear a bit more, but carry less and sweat much less, and just feel much more comfortable. I have their full summer, windproof, waterproof and insulation outfits and love them all.

Thanks for the very kind gesture.

    Ventile ® Adventure Jacket

The problem with Ventile is that when it gets wet, it stays wet and also gets even heavier, so not practical for extended exposure to rain. The issue with a fixed polartec liner is that it's warm and therefore reduces the opportunity for wear during warmer months. A single layer Ventile shell...

    Ventile ® Adventure Jacket

It depends what market and look you're aiming for. Ventile would be fine as a utility jacket outer, maybe with a light, warmer lining. Waxed cotton also makes for an interesting exterior, but be aware that https://www.weargustin.com/store use both materials in many colours, but only in the...
