Vintage Stetson Silverbelly 7 1/2

Thanks for the comments guys. This one I just finished is from a Czech Republic fur felt of rabbit I guess, it's a light blue/grey color. I added a navy crown ribbon with a blue/grey binding. Sweat is un finished sheepskin that I vented and liner is navy in Silk . Brim is about 2 7/8 and my... -

Very cool looking Knox with pleated brim binding that is exceptionally well done. Has unreeded sweat and embroidered liner also. Knox stamp is embossed into leather too. A very clean find . -

Wash a hat?
Depends on the hat and the issue really. Some of my hats go into the washing machine , I have a new one that doesn't have the tall agitator and works great for hats I want to really re work the felt on. Others get a gas bath leaving everything on the hat intact and this works great . And yet... -

No need to get defensive as I was just stating my opinion . 99% of Whippets I have owned or have sold have had contrasting ribbon sets and its what gives it that great look , again in my opinion. I am sure the new owner will be very happy with the hat regardless .- bond

Mint 1940s (?) Vintage Knox Fedora 7 3/8+
Here's a sweet vintage Knox Fedora tagged a 7 3/8, measures about 23 3/8 or closer to a 7 1/2. Brim is 2 3/4 and has the fanciest binding I have ever seen. It is (4) different shades of grey and measures 3/4 on top and 1/4 showing on bottom of brim. Really nicely executed. Crown ribbon is in...- bond

Hand dyeing felt
Belfast boy , the sweat needs to be removed both to get a proper dye job as well as if your going to have any luck blocking the hat after it's been dyed. Also I do not recommend cutting brim down until after dying /washing is completed as felt will shrink especially depends on temp of water... -
