History teach besides ebay seller fees; ppal fees, state tax, federal tax, accountant fees, shipping materials and time. Selling hats is an expensive hobby to say the least.
Here's a mistaken purchase thought I was buying a fur felt hat turned out to be a vintage Wool hat. Came to me in a cattlemans shape with a thin ribbon so I experimented on converting it to this . Brim is 3 1/8. Honestly not a bad hat for a wool job felt is dense and it holds its new shape nicely.
Here's a vintage stetson 3x I've been playing around with and finally finished. Was white dyed it navy blue. Gave it new ribbons, wind cord and sweatband. Upsized it as well was a 7 1/4 now 7 1/2.
After selling one too many beautiful Borsalinos my new mantra for this fine speciman is,I will not sell this, will not sell this , will not sell this. Gorgeous color and condition in my size too! Very happy as I cant remember the last time I found a Borsalino as nice as this one.
This is one of a few that I be been experimenting using dye to get different color into the felt . Felt is winchester beaver
Was silverbelly now it's Blue belly.
Akubra in bluegrass w/ Sterling 925. Silver Amber hat pin .
Asking 195. W/pin OR 149.95 w/out pin
All ribbons were replaced . Crown ribbon is 1 1/2. Binding is 5/8.
Thanks guys. I really wanted to see if my machine could handle it and how straight I could get it. Kind of tough doing an overwelt on a western body getting the first one out of the way feels good though .
Happy forth to all!
Got no straw so I took my new western Sahara beaver felt out to break in for camping. This is my first attempt at trying an overwelt stitched edge .
With my friend Sharon and Buddy the wayward Coon hound.
Bump 25. Shipped for Silverbelly grosgrain only, just under 1 3/4 this is nice vintage quality and is unused in mint condition.
Will keep if it doesn't sell at this price
Thanks
