Coming up on 6 weeks since my moonstone version was shipped from Hats Direct. Here is the reply I received from them last night:
"...Australia Post has said it won't launch an Investigation until 3 months has passed and the parcel is still undelivered.
They did stress however that there are...
My moonstone CD from Hatsdirect is still in the system, it shipped almost 5 weeks ago. They claim there is no tracking number, so I may be out of luck.
Here is a note from Delmonico's that I received yesterday regarding more manly Size 8 Stratoliner's:
...The standard Stratoliner is now available in Size 8, we have not yet added it to our website, we will add it soon.
The Stetsonian is not listed for Size 8, but we should be able to get it...
My moonstone Campdraft from Hats Direct that was shipped 4 weeks back has not yet landed...they are trying to find out what is causing the delay. What were your experiences with delivery times to the NYC metro area?
Happening again on my end. No big deal if you handle it appropriately. Could have been embarrassing given that in one instance it opened a page that displayed a full frontal shot of a well endowed young lady wearing nothing more than a belly piercing.
Agreed that it seems to happen when...
Anyone else take the plunge?
I ordered a dark gray copy of the garrison Raiders Travel shape in Size 8 1/8! Only compromise was with the brim...she couldn't do the 2 7/8" dimensional, so we went with 2 1/2" all around. Cost was $97.11 with postage, scheduled to by Feb 6. Seems like a no-brainer...
Surely custom hatters are a great option, but they shouldn’t be the solution.
If a company can’t control it’s process for applying trim to a hat, where a quick visual inspection would identify the defect, you have to wonder where else their process controls are deficient. Agreed that blind...
That is fine if you can and want to perform the fix, but why should anyone be required to repair a new item before use? Doing so gives the manufacturer no incentive to improve their product, and even worse, gives the impression that the end user might actually accept more defects. Think about...
I had a similar issue, the tacking stitches that attached the ribbon to the crown were not applied properly...on some of the stitches the raw end was sticking out from the ribbon, looked like a piece of 8 # test monofiliment. Additionally, the stitches were applied in the wrong spot which...
My experience with Delmonico didn't go well. The Temple I received had some very obvious issues with the ribbon tacking and positioning. Return processing was a bit slow, I had to call them a few days after they received it back to have them process the return in their system and credit my Amex...
That's the model I was looking at, as Mr. Alzani stated be was maxed out at a 5.5 cm brim when using the large size blocks. I would be most appreciative if you could post some pictures. - thanks!
I had a pleasant series of communications this morning with Mr. Alzani at Cappelleria Melegari regarding his custom made hats. Looks like he has blocks up to 66 cm and can accommodate my sizing requirements [hold the jokes please, I’ve heard them all :) ]. Pricing is reasonable, about $240...
Parker at FPH has been very responsive to my recent e-mails over the last 2 weeks. If I'm not mistaken, he has a day job and may take a few days to reply to your notes.
Probably been asked before, but can anyone recommend reliable U.S. online retailers other than DM and DelMonico for Akubra's. I've seen some posts recommending cultured cowboy, australian hat outlet, and bluewater group, all of whom have some items listed at more competitive prices, but I've...
