    Quality jacket sightings

I tried on that reversible LVC at the London Pop-Up Flea and it was okay, small size, and quite flimsy. Looks great but not what we are used to.

    My New Aero Thunderbay

I have a shearling herc with the same thickness lining. I brought it as a 44, my size, with alpaca lining, it was a normal fit, last year aero fitted the 3/4 shearling lining and now yes its a little tight, I can just do it up, but that's fine with me, I like the feels, plus I know in a year's...

Storing Aero horsehide jacket--hanger or flat?

I use a suit jacket hanger with a thick woollen coat on it already and then hang the leather jacket over that. The softness of the coat underneath prevents any stretching or miss-shaping. I don't leave my clothes out primarily for dust, that and what kinda dad would I be?

    Show us your vintage breeches.

Good to hear, indeed they were worn for local and or general purpose, and I am quite serious about doing something with these. They are so flattering and so versatile. I vaguely remember pinching a lime green and chocolate plaid pair and herringbone tweed paid in a workmans store in Tokyo a...

    Aero Hercules Advice

Leather is cold on the neck and face, fur is warm. Personal tastes on the collar but for a winter jacket a shearling collar kills the cold dead, its a luxurious look and feel. For the very reasonable cost Aero offer it for, I would consider it. And for what its worth the Aero corduroy for the...

I'm going to make a pair of Flannel Trousers - suggestions welcome

Yes that's what I've settled on too, although thicker elastic, slightly more robust but flush side adjuster buckles, (suggestions welcome on interesting deco ones), rubber plasters, with suspender buttons. But so far so good. Thanks again guys. Now to the back pocket shape, thoughts on...

No, not flares. At all. Conical shape to the knee slightly widened from there to the hem by half inch.

I'm going to make a pair of Flannel Trousers - suggestions welcome

We are talking about 17oz flannel here. Side Adjusters with belt loops? Side Adjusters with suspender buttons? Or Side Adjusters no buttons no loops, below? On a different front what do you think of employing a one inch widening from the knee to the hem?

I'm going to make a pair of Flannel Trousers - suggestions welcome

I agree with you (BK), you know that, my issue is a sartorial question. Work wear and formal wear ironically support suspenders. But what of smart flannel trousers? Are these worn with braces?
