I love them as well - I had my first one (classic Navy) aged seven, back in the early 1970s. I have had them all my life since then, usually owning several of them. I have a fair number of them now, including Navy and Army (olive) green. Do you still have any of yours?
As for the length, a...
As this thread has come to be as much about Guernseys as Norwegian sweaters, I am posting some photos of my new Cinnamon Guernsey: we’re out of the season for woollies now, but I look forward to giving it a lot of wear in the Fall and Winter.
In the Northern hemisphere we are moving beyond WP weather (occasionally it’s still cool enough in the morning and evening), but with the Fall (Autumn) in mind, Outdoor Knitwear are offering 25% off for the buildup to Father’s Day, Code DAD25.

@Peacoat : Have you any news of @Harp? He used to be quite a regular contributor to this thread (a fellow WP aficionado) and to FL in general, but he hasn’t posted anywhere on FL since 22nd April 2022.
I hope this thread isn’t going to disappear. … It’s near the end of WP season but there are still quite a few occasions when it’s possible to wear one all day. And even on the warmer days WPs still work morning and evening.
I love Norwegian wool sweaters by the way and have several of them.
I also admire your King Harald V. He was Colonel-in-Chief of one of our Northern Regiments for many years.

I like the idea of your Greek hand knit: any chance of a photo of it on you? The Gypsy vendor was of course practising Friedmanite economics.
I admire Friedman and believe that he is often viewed in simplistic terms both by his supporters and detractors. But I am still a Keynesian at heart.
That’s really nice of you. Stevieboy’s funeral is coming soon. I hope he is wearing a WP as he goes off into the great unknown. Oh dear, my British stiff upper lip is quivering just a little as I write that.
It’s also WP weather over here. It was the turn of the Navy WP today for me.
