I just saw a Youtube video from Kevin (Hats and Guitar) who works at JJ Hats in NYC and he said the owner is selling again Borsalino hats and that the quality has come back after a few horrible cheap years following bankruptcy when corners were being cut. Anyone else hear of this?
For vintage hat collectors, is there a list of best quality hat makers according to quality so when one is shopping for a vintage fedora, he has some idea what to look for? I see the list of brands which is helpful. But which were considered top of the line?
I just went to the outlet store in Garland and was disappointed. Regarding Fedoras, all I saw were on the cheap end wool hats. Also hardly anything in sizes 7 3/8 to 7 1/2. If one is looking for cowboy hats there is a larger selection.
