Oh boy, SJC jeans for 80 quid. What a helluva bargain. If the leathers were comparatively priced I am very happy for my bank account that I didn't attend.
The knitting pattern may be from 1923 but the design/shape of the cardigan is totally modern. A true 1923 cardigan would have a chunky collar and would be much longer in the body.
Cherry meaning FQHH? I don't think so. This is a style that works best with lighter leather. I found even the mid-weight horse too restricting. I think it works best in goat or cloth.
Kinda makes sense for modern short hem shirts and low rise trousers if you want to tuck but not for vintage clothes. I mean, shirt tails covered at least your ass if not half of the thighs as well and the trousers came up to the navel. Who would need shirt garters with that set-up?
Is your brick and mortar shop still closed or did you re-open? I'll be in Seattle in two weeks. Although I am not in the market for a jacket right now there are some of Aero's jackets I would like to try on to get an idea how they fit and if they are suitable for me. Thanks.
Low waist trousers combined with a long torso and short legs make for a very unfavorable appearance. You can only win with high waist trousers. Another added benefit is that you are not mistaken as a plumber anymore. ;)
Good wide high waist jeans are SJC's Brakeman Waist Overalls and Freddie's...
I just found these boots on the LL Bean site. I don'>t think they were mentioned here yet but they seem quite nice, similar to Red Wing. Does anybody have them?

I agree with Sloan. My 1930s half belt is 24.5 in the back and I am 186 cm. If you make it even longer than the fit jacket the proportions are messed up and you won't be able to put your hands into your jeans pockets without a fuss.
Dinerman, the lower legs seem to hold up pretty well. Btw, that orphaned suit jacket I bought from you is a perfect fit. Just need to move the buttons back.
ebill, Dinerman is probably your best bet. He is extremely knowledgeable.
