Hi HPA! That seems strange. From what i know, the Eastman Taiwan distributors did get their hands on the Buco J 100. Perhaps they just ordered it before having a sample to try on?
I do not understand why they would not provide you with a sample...unless they are not confident in the product...
after receiving so many helpful comments ....still torn about which one to get eventually ... wife is going to london soon... wondering if American Classics London will have the Buco j 100 in stock... from their website they don't seem to have it. For the RMC.. I know london has a store.. but I...
Thank you all for the great responses! Now it really makes my decision very hard !! (should the time comes ...)
Seems that I am more set on RMC and Eastman .....
Thanks this is really helpful... I do like the eastman too, but when I see the RMC ...somehow I feel something unique about it (as...
Thanks a lot for your comments!!
Based on your recommendations .... I may need to ask my wife to check out the real McCoy’s london Shop to see the price there... any ideas if it’s more expensive over there ...?
Damn if rmc is the way to go ... this option seems to be the most expensive ...:(...
Going to Disneyland with the fam...
J crew Stockton racer ... together with lvc Bedford pants and wolverine 1000 mile boots .. scarf is a great buy from taobao (forgot the brand name though it’s a local brand in China I think) edit: found the label on the scarf lol and it’s a brand called...
hi guys and girls,
I always wanted THE original cafe racer ( owner the vanson model b and others as well), and noted there are quite a few repros on this.
I know it’s unlikely that members here own two of the same model of the above brands at the same time, but most grateful if members who do...
Agree with all of the above. I have an Orgueil cossack myself. The arm holes are higher and tighter than other models commonly produced by western companies. I don't have an athletic build so I feel comfortable in it. You have to consider whether the biceps area will be restrictive to you if you...
Agree that for this particular model, it fits well on him. As I said, the problem it seems is that he's not happy with how this particular model is being cut. As pointed out by members here, this model is intended to be loose on the waist area, which to the OP means it looks big. I don't think...
I agree with @dudewuttheheck that something looks...off? Or maybe stiff is the word that I am looking for. I note that the leather may be stiff but doesn't mean that the jacket has to look that way too... Other jackets having stiff leathers don't look quite like this... the grain also doesn't...
@elevensun Hi! I am from Hong Kong and went to Taiwan for shopping last year for the awesome selection you had there in relation to vintage inspired wear and workwear! Are you buying from Eastern hero company, hank li or back to original? In any event I did try out that jacket last year when I...
Ah darn it! @Monitor then ... contrary to what other enablers are saying :D, I think you should see more in hand pics (if they are available) before jumping in. After all, from the comments here, you are not short on jackets....and perhaps throughout this year you would see one in person which...
@Monitor is it possible that you could just try it in person first (assuming you are in the US)? As others have said, this jacket may look significantly different (for better or for worse) in person.
It's an absolute must for me, even for slimmer jackets (which I usually own as I am of a slimmer frame). I concur with the above that I personally never saw one jacket where an imprint is being caused due to having internal pockets.
If i can have my way, I would have two internal chest pockets...
Not strong words at all dudewuttheheck and I think this post is partly in reply to my post.
You definitely raise some good points on the japanese jackets. Just to clarify, what I deem many of these brands as "fashion" brands does not mean it's a bad thing. In fact, I purchase quite alot of...
I agree that the japanese brands are charging way too much for their leather jackets. I think there are a few reasons for this:
a) most of these brands (RMC, Freewheelers etc.) are not really "leather brands" but rather a "fashion brand" (of course a more niche fashion market and not the...
Well I guess the specific comments I saw on such thread is that one thinks that China as a whole makes “poisoned goods” and comments of this sort, basically a blanket statement.
As for why anyone would frown on me Being Chinese, I have no idea , but unfortunately if the certain forum member...
