Cannot believe my eyes looking at your jacket - AWESOME! Have to invest much more time in my horsehide jackets. But not sure if one will ever look like yours?
Agree - black is a much better contrast to brown than brown to brown.
Also - as Jeff M - said cotton drill seems to "breath" better than gabardine ( I feel the same because I have/wear both)
Good idea to ask for new / current sample to see how it look like - will do the same and than send a piece of the sample back to get the identical hide.;)
Doublegun - you wrote that the "bottle green" drill lining which is more of an olive color - would you say it look similiar to the B-10 gabardine cloth?
Here's one of my jacket lined with the B-10 gabardine cloth - is it similiar??
Windward brown FQHH after 6 month . . .
Hi Loungers - maybe you like to see my Windward brown FQHH (standard not vintage) how it looks after 6 month of wear.
Thanks for watching
Windward
ButteMT61 - the sample I got is a lighter brown with an amazing colour and feeling - but the result looked like it was made from another hide with more reddish hint!
Looked good - BUT - all of my Windward's are heavy FQHH (black/brown/cordovan/vintage brown/jerky seal) so I am yearning for...
Hi Philalethes - yes - but its already sent back for an exchange - because some features were missing and the oil pull was much too different compared to the sample.
Now the waiting game goes on ... good luck with your jacket.
Dav - with your Highwayman you wrote history!! - This is why I enoy this forum soooo much - but sorry Dav - the more I look at you I would say you look more like James Bond - hope you dont mind , Sir!
You are carrying a concealed gun, don't you ??

I got an information from AERO LEATHER that my new jacket is beeing made so I am counting hours to receive it . . .
I am not into A-2 patch pockets because those pockets accentuated someway the belly so I come to the idea creating my own Flight Jacket.
My own creation: "Bush-Pilot -Jacket"...
Maybe I have found what you are looking for... AERO's Windward... its my Flight Jacket without patch pockets and with handwarmer pockets.
BTW: I have made an own creation with knitted waistbands and cuffs and slightly alteration and features - I call it the "Bush-Pilot Jacket"!
Jerky seal brown horsehide

Great choice of leather and lining - AERO's brown FQHH just amazing.
YES, as Jan already mentioned - take the chance and use the summer for breaking in ... its a bit of "blood sweat and tears" :-) but its works well - also my experience.
