The two dress Stetsons you posted earlier today are gorgeous as well. Especially w/ those two: the care and craftsmanship involved, in every detail, is to be admired I think.
He was in constant pain and had suffered through many concussions from all the crashes. I've read that in retrospect, this might have been the source of his strange behavior as he got older.

French, Gelot. I really like hat's proportions but can't say the same for it's sweat band, kinda' bland. This'll be my first French hat and I don't know anything yet about Gelot but did read they closed up shop in the early 70s. These are seller's pics btw. Off to TFL French Hat thread!
Brent, Robert, thanks! Brent you gotta see the black Arminto Robert brought up a size cleaned up. The felt on that hat is so sweet and since we lost a little brim because of re-size up, it's crown looks twice as towering.
