My Cavanagh from the 1960s. This hat is peculiar for a couple reasons. First, the price tag label lists this as a "Blue Onyx" model but the color appears more brown/burgundy in person which could be a result of UV ray exposure from outdoor wear. Second, this hat appears to have several...
My Resistol Dart with Self-Conforming Melorol stamped sweatband along with brim binding. It was made for the Dayton's Men's Store. Given the plastic tip liner and lack of the stylized "o" in the company logo, my best guess is that this hat was made in the final years under the Byer-Rolnick...
Someone posted this in one of my Facebook groups asking if anyone could identify the manufacturer. He said he bought the hat in Stockholm, Sweden about a year ago.

My Mallory Fifth Avenue produced for Kraus Mens Wear. As you can see, the liner has very trippy design ... that coupled with the plastic tip lead me to think this is likely from the 1950's or 1960s before the appearance of the "Mallory by Stetson" brand but I'm no expert so please let me know if...
My Portis Sterling Quality made for Fields Clothing Co. in Maryville, MO. The plastic tip liner suggests 1950s or 1960s but I'm no expert so please let me know if you have a more accurate timeframe.

Today, I am wearing a Portis Sterling Quality made for Fields Clothing Co. in Maryville, MO. I will post more photos in the Portis Path thread.
Thank you! I agree with your assessment. The black sweatband, in particular, would make the 60s a really strong possibility. I also have a longish face but I do love wearing the stingy-brims.
