Horween CXL leather is great. It makes for one hell of a motorcycle grade hide. I also think it looks great in pics. Keep on wearing your beast, it will only get better.
Thanks Ton. JL was able to put a thru belt on mine, as requested. They really did a great job. I also added a few extra inside pockets. This CXL horsehide is no joke. lol. I might have bit off more than I can chew.
Thanks J. I would love to visit their shop someday. They really know how to...
My long awaited JL jacket arrived. 4oz+ overdye. WOW. Might take a few years to get some creases. Fit is a little roomy, but I have no problems with a hoodie underneath.
I finally had someone around to snap a few pics right out of the box. I didn't know my little granddaughter did a photo...
I think it looks great on you Mr. Frown. Congratz on the jacket. I have come to find that Looser/roomier jackets work better for me. I definitely don't have the physic of you and some of the others on here, I need a little more room for everything to get situated. lol. Some guys can pull off...
No that is not mine. But, I really love how the Horween CXL looks in all the pics I have seen with different makers even.
P.S. You should still look into getting a small tow motor or pallet jacket to move your awesome collection of jackets and unused hides around. lol.
I am actually wearing my 618 as I am reading this thread. lol. I just figured it was a Schott branded YKK. I just took my jacket off and looked. It is a Schott branded Ideal. My jacket is a 2021 steerhide 618.
I am becoming a huge fan of IH. I think their denim and construction is on another level. I am a noob in the denim dept. and only have experience with BS and IH. I thought Brave Star was awesome, and they are, but damn, IH takes it a couple levels higher (along with the price, lol).
Looks like you were ready to raise some hell in the first pic. lol. Glad you are ok and we can laugh about it now. If you keep wiping out like that, you are gonna have to talk to DoubleH and see about getting a 7oz+ jacket from Shaun.
That was the first jacket that I longed for when I started this hobby. My pre lounge days. I never got the stallion, but I always loved that shiny horsehide. Post more pics when you get it, if you can. Would love to see more of this jacket.
Just like gambling winnings. I could throw $1000 into a slot machine and lose all of it one day. Then go back the very next day and throw a $20 bill in it and hit for $600. Now I have to pay taxes on my winnings even though I am a big fat loser. lol.
Another awesome jacket my friend. Looks great. Thanks to you and everyone else who post up Instagram pics for those of us who don't have it. It's cool how Greg posts pics of the construction.
I do the same as OneEye. I throw mine on the floor in a pile. Sometimes I roll them up and keep the one I am using on top. Of course, my collection is much smaller than most on here.
^^^ The older I get the colder I run, I guess. I have always preferred the cooler weather. I hardly ride in Jun-Aug anymore. I just can't take the heat/sun hardly at all on the bike anymore. You have the sun beating down on you as you are straddling a hot v-twin motor at a red light. I didn't...
