My vote is "unmonkeyed". I also have a russet goat jacket from AL and love the grain and softness of my jacket. I think you will be very satisfied with this hide if you choose to get your jacket made by AL!- pauleway

"It's nice to finally see a good collar from Aero. I requested a similar one when ordering my 30s halfbelt."(Quote) I prefer a smaller collar. Not a fan of those pointy, long collars. Sleeve length looks perfect, and body length looks good to me (and I am fussy about these two things). Not a big fan of the larger style collar, but that is a very nice jacket, wear it well!!- pauleway

New 2014 Aero styles
I have the AL goat Arkansas in russet, and when I put my order in I requested the"softest"and"grainiest" hide they had, so maybe that is why mine was good to go, right out of the box, or maybe their russet goat was softer than the seal (like yours)!!- pauleway
