    A new-old-stock M-1951 U.S. Army Field Jacket I recently scored at a local thrift for under $10. At first, I thought this was a modern knock-off. Nope, it's the real deal.

    Many thanks. There are no inner labels. But is that a 1950s Talon zip? Sleeves are Servall. The jacket weighs 6 pounds. And it does maintain a leather scent. Been wearing it around the house all day :)

    Vintage Cal Leathers jacket. Not sure how old it is. Also not sure if it's horse or steer? The size "40L" is handwritten inside the interior pocket. The hem hits right at my belt in these photos. Got a short-sleeve tee underneath.

    Thank you. There is a bit of a "paunch" in the abdominal area of this jacket, even though it's a "slim fit." It has molded nicely to my shoulders over time. It's a comfortable fit.
