    inlaws(screams)

That's one reason I chose to buy a two-bedroom bungalow: people can't come and stay with me unless they don't mind sleeping on the couch. I've seen inlaws break up marriages. I think that most of the people on the Mayflower were probably couples getting away from their inlaws.

    My, how times have changed

I can't see any particular reason to walk around in front of the kids au natural. [huh]

I thought about how he saw his mom's belly, too. Maybe they were at the pool. (I hope.)

    inlaws(screams)

Dani, maybe you can go to a hotel. :) Maybe it's not very friendly, but I think I'd be using the phrase, "I'm sorry, but I don't discuss that" quite a bit.

    Super Wallflower!

A partner or group can actually be a crutch. I see newbies who come in with a partner or a group, and they tend to stand on the sidelines, while the singletons tend to get out there and practice and learn. I think I've actually learned to follow better, and do solo moves way better, because I...

    Nutrition and exercise!

:eusa_clap I've found that when I don't eat high-carb, sugary foods in the morning, I don't get that mid-afternoon crash. And congratulations on kicking the caffeine habit. That's hard to do.

    My, how times have changed

I once tutored a girl whose father and stepmother were able to afford cruises new cars a "mini mansion" another baby but couldn't manage to buy their daughter a dictionary. :(

    Nutrition and exercise!

Understood--I have the same problem when I visit my parents. But I have told them to please not buy any cookies or caramel corn or chips for me.

    Nutrition and exercise!

I suggest not keeping chocolate in the house, or any other fattening food that you can't resist. Keep healthy, good-tasting food around and ready to eat.

Maybe this will help, too. http://www.arnet.gov/far/current/html/FormsStandard31.html (Sorry, I couldn't resist.:) )

    Nutrition and exercise!

Try eating five or six small meals a day. A meal is one portion of carbs and one portion of protein. (A portion is about the size of your clenched fist.) If there's no good place to exercise, get an aerobic step and make a tape (or program your CD player or MP3 player) to play some music that...

What age should a guy stop wearing a bike jacket without a bike?

It depends on the guy. Some guys will always look cool in them, some never will.

The Things Women Will Do...for Beauty

Bill Phillips says there is nothing wrong with a steak or a baked potato. BUT, the steak should be lean and shouldn't be fried, and the potato shouldn't be larded up with butter and sour cream. I actually like ketchup and lemon pepper on mine.

The Things Women Will Do...for Beauty

Bill Phillips came out with EAS nutrition drinks that are pretty tasty, but I make my own: 12 oz water 1 banana 2 T protein powder 1 T cocoa (unsweetened, from the baking aisle) 1 t sugar Blend for 30 seconds and enjoy. Also: 12 oz water 3 or 4 big strawberries 1/3 c...

The Things Women Will Do...for Beauty

Yes--a high-protein diet and weightlifting. I recommend Body for Life--I've been doing it since 2003 and I look and feel great. Edited to add: you might have a GI problem if you can't gain weight. You might also be anemic if you feel faint all the time. See a doctor--but check out Body for...

Skin problems from stomach problems :(

Sometimes changes in diet take time to work--like weeks or a month. Another thing that can cause bloating is swallowing air when you eat. I sometimes do this when I feel stress, and I don't even realize I'm doing it. I hope you get well soon.

    Dishpan Hands....

I'm 39 and I've done a lot of manual labor--without gloves. My face looks about 32, and my hands look about 50.

    Dishpan Hands....

I'll second the gardening gloves suggestion. Sticky clay imbeds itself in your skin and sucks out the moisture. Sand scratches you. So unless you have soft, black, fluffy soil found in a few counties in Iowa, put on some gardening gloves.

    Dishpan Hands....

Detergents are meant to dissolve grease and oil. Contrary to popular opinion, your skin shouldn't be squeaky clean--it needs its natural oils. I finally realized this when I was remodeling my bathroom and washing my hands with Dawn in the kitchen. My hands were dry and cracked--and they...
