See. This is why it's important to know history.
Toilets as we know them, came around as far back as the 1500s. The first one was invented by John Harrington, an Englishman.
Ever wondered why Americans call the toilet 'the John'?
Take a hint.
The toilet as we know it today, came...
Out of curiosity, does anyone know just how far back the clothes valet dates? When did they become popular/when were they invented?
My gut instinct tells me the late Victorian-period, after the American Civil War. It was around that time, coming onto the 1870s, that men's clothing styles...
Vintage typewriter.
I could've paid $15 for a cheap postwar model. I paid slightly over for a prewar working vintage. I have no regrets. Every other typewriter in that price-range was a junker. This one wasn't.
I hate Neighbours for the sheer fact that I think it portrays Australia incorrectly to the rest of the world. And for that matter, Home and Away.
I haven't seen the Dr. Blake Mysteries. I have heard of them, however. I should get around to watching them. They look interesting.

I appreciate the replies and the sentiments, guys, but I just couldn't see myself with an actual vintage radio. Maybe someday in the future when I have a job that pays money, and things are more settled. But not at the moment. If I can get a reproduction in decent condition for a good price, I'd...
I don't agree with dhermann. Of course there has been bad quality stuff and indifferent quality stuff throughout history - Hell, the Brooklyn Bridge is full of it. Every single one of those cables holding the damn thing up was below-par. The only reason it hasn't collapsed already is because...
Australia has insane weather. It changes its mind every three hours. The next seven days are all 20'c, or thereabouts.
Then next Wednesday is 35.
See, i told you it changes all the time. It can be great for a week and then out of nowhere, we get one boiling hot day for no apparent reason.
