    I am going to a dance that includes a mambo lesson. I think my lindy uniform (cotton printed skirt and t-shirt) will be a bit too casual. I do have a poufy black cotton skirt; my tops are fairly limited. I also have a tank-style little black dress. I'm open to suggestions.

    I went to junior high school with two other girls with the same first and last name as mine. When I was small, I liked the name Victoria. I think it would have suited me better than Lori--I always thought Lori sounded like such a goody-two-shoes name.

    I've met very few Loungers in person, but I've entrusted two Loungers with serious responsibilities. Joie DeVive and her husband are my dog's "godparents" (dogparents?). They'll give her a loving home if the gods call me early. Lizziemaine is my backup in case I can't take care of my clients.

    Suggestion: do your neighbors a good turn. Make some salsa or something and give some to your neighbors. (Just tell them you made too much for yourself--it'll be true.) Or have a weenie roast or something. I bet they'll be more helpful when you need a good turn.
