On the occasion of adding a new member to the family (the Dobro with the poinsettia coverplate) I decided to take a family portrait. Apologies for the few non-guitar instruments. I keep telling my wife, "Just one more guitar and that will be it." It's a sickness, I know.
My mom took me to see Korla in the employee cafeteria of Sears in El Monte, CA. It was the mid 60s and I don't think Korla was getting too many gigs then. Since I was a kid and this was the first concert I'd been to I found this exotic guy pretty fascinating. Looking forward to seeing this.
Vintage ties seem to be drying up in my town but I finally found a few today after too long of a wait.
I can never pass up a palm tree tie but I especially like the way this one goes with my denim shirt which has kind of very subtle striping that matches that in the tie.
Just read that Clifton's premiered it's new neon facade last weekend at the Night on Broadway event. After so many false stories of its impending reopening it looks as if maybe, after 4 years and 5 million dollars, the end of the tunnel is in sight. I'm also glad to see a movement to bring back...
Although I cannot vouch personally for the quality of radios from this company (too expensive for my limited budget), I have read good reviews on a few of their radios and they are supposed to perform well. I put this one on my wish list a few years back but haven't been able to rake the bucks...

Bump. Last 2 days - your chance to get a nice all wool, union-made in the US coat for less than the price of a T shirt in some places.

It all boils down to personal preference. I like a tie with a little pizazz so I'm nearly always looking for bold look ties. Although I do have and enjoy a few subtle over-all patterned 30's ties for the most part they make me yawn :bored:. This may have been posted here before but I think it...
