Thank you, Alex, and Perry!
Perry, I like that Stetson Shantung, what model is it? The 'Royal Hat Works' is new to me, but dates to the late '30s or early '40s, I believe. More details here.
Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend!

randooch: Thanks, I appreciate it!
Trombone: We have to swing over to the Hamm Building one of these nights to catch you playing. Have wanted to enjoy some live jazz at the Artists' Quarter for a long time.
David: Love the pictures! The buzz will make your already lofty crowns...
Very nice Borsalino, Eric! Post some shots of the innards when you get the chance, if you would, please. I also see that, despite the gloomy weather outside, you are suitably attired for Summer!
Wonderful old Stevens, Eric! Looks to be early '40s but the frayed ribbon was a much earlier feature, retained by some makers, however, well into the '50s.
Wonderful image, Alan! Love your panoramas! And you are so right about the best rainbows presenting themselves when we are behind the wheel. Luckily Lydia was riding shotgun and had the camera ready, and Ryan was able to shoot some videos from the backseat.

Thanks for the very kind words, gentlemen, I appreciate them!
Eric: From what I have seen it does resemble the Vita-Felt Stetsons from that early '40s era, of which I am still on the hunt for.
Ed: Necessity being the Mother of invention... lol
Alan: Indeed, unreeded sweat with...
Thank you kindly, tonyb and SgtRick! I agree that the style of the hat is quintessential '40s, but the interior of the hat, with its sweatband and construction details, does show some earlier features, I believe.
The premise that Royal Hat Works is a haberdasher or a small manufacturer is...
An intriguing hat from a maker I have not heretofore seen. Light, supple and malleable felt very similar to my vintage Borsalinos.
Subtle, Powder Blue color with Mauve ribbon and matching edge binding. Well worn, but lovingly cared for and in excellent condition. Unreeded sweatband with...
Nice looking hat, Iwan Plomp, and a hearty welcome to the lounge!
The aberration with the ribbon occurs as a result of your image being resized, I believe.
Beautiful Disney Forty, Alan, and it looks great on you! Interesting comparison to your Knox Forties. Knox Forties are exquisite hats with superb felt and finish, and it does not surprise me that you feel that your Disney Forty, likely made by Lee, is not quite their equal. I have not seen...
Congrats on a very fine looking Borsalino, at a very attractive BIN price! It looks to be in great condition, and even has a self-felted/Cav edge to boot!
I think you will be quite impressed when you receive it, Eric!
Josh: Thanks again for your kind words! I think I will put together a hats and diners retrospective eventually.
Alex: Thank you! I think I am having a brainstorm right now regarding the get together ;)
Eric: Congrats on a very nice looking Alessandria! Super smooth, soft, and...
St-Just: Thank you for the kind words, I really appreciate them!
Alan: Thanks, and absolutely breathtaking photos of one of our favorite cities on the planet!
Rusty: Thanks! As with everything, there is always room for improvement!
