    What's for Dinner?

"Nice, I like its straight-foward simplicity with the classic American add of grape juice - an under-rated, under-appreciated thirst quencher and all-around good drink." The simplicity comes from omitting the toast, a painful sacrifice but I am trying to lose weight. Some years back there was...

Why the change from natural waist?

I know absolutely nothing about fashion but if I were to guess I would say the high waisted trousers were part of a trend toward exaggerated cut suits that started in the late 30s because of Gone With The Wind. Someone has tracked down the origin of the Zoot Suit to one man who had his tailor...

    Suit without a tie...

I agree with Hal. When I see someone in a suit or blazer with no tie I think he doesn't know how to dress himself or doesn't care. In any case gave up before he was finished dressing. To those who don't know what I am talking about do you wear sandals with a tuxedo?

    "Think and Grow Rich" 1937

My favorite comment on Clement Stone " the combination of pencil mustache and bow tie spells flim flam 9 times out of 10" Did anyone ever collect on one of his 'little giant' insurance policies? As late as the 1980s his agents were selling protection against getting crippled in a street car or...

You aren't kidding. This is a factory offering, believe it or not. Nash's answer to the Packard Darrin and Lincoln Continental, it was a custom design by Count Alexis de Sakhnoffsky seen here behind the wheel. Nash made about a dozen of them.

Nash was always known for offering quality and more for the money than other makes. They were responsible for important innovations like the first modern heating and ventilating system (1938) wind tunnel streamlined bodywork (1949) and the first integrated air conditioning system (1954). They...

Nash may have used the Mitchell engine. In later years they made a lot of flathead engines with the most expensive models being OHV.

The net says Ajax, and Nash Light Six, used a six cylinder Nash engine of 170 cu in with seven main bearing crankshaft and full pressure lubrication. The car was capable of 70MPH. Pretty impressive for a car that sold for under $1000 in 1926.
